I think Amash will be the Libertarian candidate in 2020. I wonder if he will get anywhere near the 4 million votes Gary Johnson did in '16.

I just wish it would hurry up and warm up about 10 more degrees so I can go out and do a little work in the front yard I want to do. But I don't want to do it dressed like I'm ready to go sledding! Getting too old for this cold crap.

I could probably vote for Amash. Can't see any way I'd vote for Trump or Biden.
I just can't understand why so many can't vote for the Donald whether you like him or not when our economy was roaring, unemployment way down, more people working than ever before, a strong military and secure borders. We were doing terrific before 'Rona came calling.

I'd vote for Amash in a heartbeat. It's only a matter of time before Trump gets us in a senseless war.

I don't know how much credit he actually deserves for the economy and unemployment. The economy is a complex and fickle beast and the difference a president makes can be hard to discern.

I just don't think he's very good at the job of being president, though I don't think he did a terrible job with the coronavirus response.

the **** are you talking about? more people vote blue than red in this country. who gives a **** where they live. what makes you think the millions of people that live in cities aren't "common" people? if you really want to get somewhere, realize you've been conditioned to think millions of people in this country that are more alike than different from you are "elites" that want to "subjugate" you.

Anytime Marcovol is liking your post, it’s time to re-evaluate

WTH is that moranic gov. of Michigan thinking and doing? Holy crap. She is asking for civil disobedience in a whole new way. If you hadn't looked or read up on her stupidity, you might want to. It is bad enough with social distancing etc. I understand that. But to put an order out to force places like Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hdwe. etc to close is getting ridiculous. If nothing else, me and the wife have been able to go get odds and ends at our local Lowes to get some odd jobs done around the house. And we are planning on going back later this week to pick up a few flowers and shrubs to set out for spring. And maybe get a gal. of paint to spruce up the shutters. Thank GOD we're not in Michigan!

you don’t care about people dying. You are a selfish sob and live in a state where 109 people have died from this thing in the last six weeks. Oh the humanity

as a nation, it absolutely is our business when he refuses to divest from his businesses because we can't be sure if they decisions he's making are for our benefit or his own.

and a reminder the largest recent act of voter fraud involved NC republicans. elsewhere... not much happening. what else ya got?

So, why not voter photo ID?

Watching the 2016 Ryder Cup...this Reed/McIlroy match is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! On a side note Mickelson/Garcia match was overlooked as they were lights out as well.

There's no point in discussing it further, we don't live in a democracy, we live in a republic. The states elect the president. The only reason it's become an issue is because your candidate lost. It's nothing more than being a poor loser.

People like GV do not even have a clue we are a republic and what that even means. They don’t learn em that stuff no more.

Uneducated redneck I must be which also means I ignoramas like that thing at Cracker Barrel said I was. I left five pegs.

ignoramoose*

git it ryte, rednecks.

So, why not voter photo ID?

its a complex issue. there are over 3m people in the US that don't have a photo id according to a study by NYU. the extremely short answer is not everyone can afford it or have access to getting one, which effectively makes it a poll tax.

I don’t think voter ID would change much, but what if it were provided free of charge to those who can’t afford it?

on paper, in some states they're supposed to be free. but studies show that the practical execution of it generally comes with fees and documentation charges, around $25.
