Been hunting in SE Ohio many times great whitetail hunting there. Old Army friend lives in Ohio and sets up the hunts. We always have a blast that week. Corn Liquor chases the chill way.

Yes, some of the best in the country. I know people who will schedule a week of vacation to drive to SE OH for a hunting trip similar to how those who go out West for one.

I assume they’re bow hunters. I hunted SE Ohio several years back for the few days their gun season runs - the last time I did rifles weren’t allowed. Just slug guns and muzzleloders. Meh

Wow..... That absolutely sucks for those kids.

I hate it for the kids, but you have to dig a little deeper. Unless I see differently, I am of the opinion that any business/organization that has to severely cut or file bankruptcy after the pandemic was already in trouble. Strong brands have, so far, been fine.

In 2017, Akron athletics received $24 million from the university from nonathletic sources to pay for most of its budget. They actually disbanded their baseball team about 5 years ago and brought it back after pure donations funded the program.

Again, it's terrible for the kids. But, it will get labeled as a Covid-19 casualty when Akron athletics was already struggling. Maybe Vols4us and I can have a discussion on what the death certificate should say for these sports being cut.

I'm not arguing the science of virus spread. I'm explaining why the mask is more helpful on the carrier. And I said aerosol, not airborne.

I would feel terrible to think I was the reason someone got sick, but at the same time we all have a responsibility to protect ourselves, if we choose, with our own mask.

I have no idea how you feel about old people. Not qualified to comment. I said that I thought using affected demographics in conversations justifying reopening was a slippery slope, and I found it pretty disheartening that there are such references. There are lots of good reasons to reopen. None of them have anything to do with the demographics at risk.

Research what? Literally every piece of data out there says this thing is harmless to college age folks, especially those who are athletes. What should I go read to tell me that this fact is wrong?

I wasn't talking about the virus. Joel Klatt squarely blames Akron cutting sports on the virus itself. Akron has been struggling with its budget for several years. It isn't purely the fault of the virus. Had to cut baseball 5 years ago. Don't just believe everything put out there. Do the research yourself.

I do not think it is a hoax. But, it is nowhere near what people want us to think. The media ignores the positive numbers out of states that has opened up. The left wing governors are putting in more severe lock down measures in spite of the data coming out showing that this thing is not deadly to many under 65 unless they are severely compromised. You’re more likely to die of a lightning strike that covid. Why draconian laws?

Then there is the inflation of the death numbers. That is a fact that they admit. Not a conspiracy theory. All you have is “muh Trump!” You have no actual data to continue to support these ridiculous lock down measures.

Fauci Says U.S. Death Toll Is Likely Higher. Other COVID-19 Stats Need Adjusting, Too. That's ignoring bad faith undercounts in countries like China and states like Florida.

The flu death stats cited by people who downplay covid are calculated by methodology that if applied to covid would explode the number of fatalities.

to me hunting should involved a days long endeavor. take a rifle, hike over roughest terrain possible, carry the elk out in your pack. no atv. THAT is an earned kill.

Joel Klatt literally said in his tweet "Due to our response to the coronavirus." Because of the stupidity of shutting everything down, these athletes are being deprived of their sports. I'm not sure what point you think you're trying to make here.

Point....over your head. The problem is you don't care to listen. Akron was struggling well before the coronavirus. They disbanded their baseball program 5 years ago until it was purely funded on donations.

Joel Klatt's tweet is being a bit disingenuous. Very much like those pre-existing medical conditions that you have been beating. Akron had a pre-existing financial condition.

Yeah, well not many opportunities to do that. It’s why I’m just a casual hunter. I stick mostly to fishing and upland birds.

Is that the connotation of pig hunters? I first hunted pigs in Hawaii. It’s definitely the most common game to hunt there, and with dogs because of the vegetation. I didn’t have any but several friends did. I’d make trips to the big island to rifle hunt
