I agree but I'm not convinced he really means anything he says. I'm not convinced he's even really a conservative. I don't trust him.

I am with you.

I don't know how anybody can trust him. But I do know he has set himself up for the most epic failure in American political history if he does not follow through with what he has laid out if elected. I voted for Cruz for many of the reasons stated here. But if Trump wins I am going with the Reagan motto of 'trust, but verify' when it comes to Trump. I know what we get from the Dem camp and that has led to this revolt.

The total primary vote count tells it all. The Dems are down a third. The GOP is up two thirds. The progressives are being exposed for what they are on both sides.

Huh?
Have you been paying attention to what trump is all about and his history and what he's been saying? He's all about the deal-making and the back-scratching....

And to be clear, so is the establishment of course.

But that's why we need ted Cruz. He is anti-establishment. And actually called out McConnell on the senate floor for lying behind closed doors. Cruz is what we need. Not another back room deal maker in trump

Cruz is a liar just like all of them. And his wife works at goldman sachs

Sounds like you've been watching the news and listening to soundbytes and also buying whatever trump says, cat.

Let's go back and look at actual records and history of each candidate. Let's look at what has been actually proven. Cruz has proven he is not just talk. He will follow through with campaign promises.

And I have seen you post this line of his wife working at Goldman Sachs before. I'm not sure why that would matter or change someone's vote.

No, he's not. Why do you think that? And Heidi is a wonderful woman who comes from a family of missionary dentists. She's an investment manager who took unpaid leave to help Ted campaign. It's not like she's a federal reserve mastermind pulling the strings behind the scenes in dark smoky rooms. Good grief.

He's definitely a liar. Cognitive dissonance is a b****, though. I understand.

I think a lot of people see the news, which trump is dominating coverage-wise. And trump has been out there repeating this liar-liar tag on Cruz. And i guess people just started buying it. Cruz is not the one who has been changing positions on several issues. That would be trump. But that doesn't seem to bother his supporters.

You know who's the biggest, dirtiest liar in the race? Hillary Clinton. You know who's the second biggest but most smelly liar? Bernie Sanders, although he's legally insane so we'll half way excuse him. He actually believes the lies he tells. What was that you were saying about cognitive dissonance?

I don't support them, but thanks for the info.

Hillary is a traitor.

Agree to disagree. Also I haven't said that before to my knowledge. I used to be a Cruz fan in fact. I will say, trump is my favorite, and then cruz, then Kasich and then Rubio.

No candidate is perfect by any means, but I would take anyone over Hillary. I think what the GOP is trying to do to trump only makes people more angry at the establishment.

You know what though? As much as the media is biased and bought out, we are ALL blessed to be able to even discuss it with our free speech. I think everyone can agree with that.

Those are weak. Very weak.
PolitiFact Bias

Blog: PolitiFact's Faux Fact Checking

https://www.reddit.com/r/NeutralPolitics/comments/39fbov/is_politifact_truly_neutral/

Politifact is an extension of the Tampa Bay Times, which is oft called the "Florida Pravda." It's like media matters in charge of rating political statements. A person can subjectively rate almost any of those situations in either direction. The only accurate thing they do is to point out rounded up numbers and technicalities that most of which do not alter the point made in the real discussion in context. What you won't find anywhere is an example of Ted Cruz campaigning one way to win an election and then sneakily doing the exact opposite behind his constituents' backs in closed door meetings with Mitch McConnel and Harry Reid. You also won't find him blaming a video for security failings under his charge. And you definitely will not find anything like this:http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/ny-court-says-fraud-suit-over-trump-university-can-continue/

I can't wait until Nov. 8 when none of the 3 candidates for POTUS get 270 electoral votes and Congress gets to decide who will be President and VP.

That would actually be kinda cool. And that's what I would hope for if trump gets the republican nomination.

Haha. I figured you or someone would try to use politifact. Skullbone has already replied. But I will add...

Any site that has hilary at only being pants on fire lying 1% of the time. And then false or mostly false only 27% of the time tells me what I need to know about how "non-partisan" or "unbiased" they are.

Sorry if I misquoted you on the Goldman Sachs thing . I know I've seen that posted by someone on here before. I thought it was you.

He's the third party in this hypothetical.

I think Trump has pledged before that he won't run as a third party if he doesn't win the nomination.

Either way, a majority of the states are winner takes all with electoral college votes. Trump or one of the other Republican candidates running as a third party would probably just ensure win for the Democrats by splitting the Republican vote.
