Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

The anti gunners are so misinformed. They think people that carry are just itching to for the opportunity to shoot someone when the opposite is true. Most dread the thought of having to use their firearm.

Having been the victim of several robberies, I can't imagine not being prepared to protect myself or my family.
I don’t know what fantasy world people live in that think they aren’t ever around life threatening situations.. the world is dangerous. Why not be prepared?

Then people would just run over each other with their cars and stab people in the neck more often

Pretty sure they would still get shot by a criminal. They will still find the needed equipment to do what they do best....also, since we are on the topic of guns, pretty sure the dude that shot up Smile Direct warehouse in Antioch received fire from armed security guards. Wonder what would have happened if he was able to make his way in freely with no resistance from someone carrying? We all know what the result would have been.

Some people live in a bubble and never think anything bad is going to happen. I was sort of like that. Never had anything really happen. I always had guns, was raised around guns. Then I was the victim of several robberies. First it was stuff outside. Then they broke in the house. My daughter coming home from school found the house trashed. It changes your perspective. There are bad people out there. Many bad people.

If people are truly interested in the true reality around people protecting themselves, do the research. The numbers are astounding. You'll never get the true story from the msm.

Are there any preppers on here? Wife and I recently started canning food and storing up in case of more lockdowns/loss of job etc. What do you guys do to prepare food and water? Any tips?
Usually I take a cup, put ice in it. Then, immediately to the right (about 3 inches), I prepare the water for drinking. It's not the most productive method but, Ive been doing it this way for about 43 years. Sometimes I spill water on accident, but, usually there's enough to fill cup up again.

Canning we usually buy cans at Kroger. Theyre pre canned so, it takes a little extra effort but we manage.

I feel sorry for anyone who ever breaks into my house. They better pray it’s my pit bull that gets them first and not me so they actually have a chance. Can’t take any chances with kids.

Eddie Hall's out. Devon Larratt's in. Strongman vs armwrestling superstar. Noice.

Lame. Why did Hall have to tear his bicep

I don't do any of it yet, but, buckets of dry rice and beans and pemmican is the best bet for long term just in case food storage. Pressure canning and pickling are the next level. Also, try growing kale. It puts out during late fall and even all winter if you can keep it from frosting. Then level three is curing and dry aging large hocks of meat. For water, about all you can do is either have a well or rain barrels and a bunch of filters. Youtube has you covered.

I was trying to say if there were no guns, people would just use other ways to kill.. the killings would still happen

Thor v Hall has been the hyped rivalry for six months. That’s why.
which is why I said "we all would have loved to see Eddie vs Thor admittedly..." That part does suck. The Devon Larratt as a replacement part is crazy unexpected and in my opinion completely awesome. They have some history. I'd rather watch that than Ugas vs Pacquio since Spence is out.
