Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

I will never agree that a person should lose their livelihood over post on social media, no matter the message.
No matter the message? Ok dude.

Freedom of speech means open your trap at your own peril. Doesn’t mean you get to say whatever screwed up crap you want without consequence. Like you said, if he didn’t want people to know it was him saying it, he shouldn’t have made the comment from his personal account with his real name. Welcome to the age of the internet.

It is garbage. If the guy does his job well, and doesn't hurt anybody...this is f'n garbage.

That's the beauty of a free society. You can employ whoever you want when you run your business. But conversely, so can everyone else. If his comments make him a less than ideal employee, his employer is free to replace him with someone they feel is a better fit.

Twitter receipts got Kasey Funderburg. Fired a couple of n words back in 2013/2014 and someone reported her. Not sure how old she was back then but doesn’t matter in this day and age.

What happened? She tweeted something about something a few days ago but I didn’t ever pay attention to that story.

^ this should totally narrow it down
iirc she called out the fake twit account that had posted that fans are directed to wear black and blacken their faces for dark mode uni night.

That sucks. She was like 17 (not even a legal adult at the time) and got fired. I guess there’s no such thing as maturity and growth. Some People are quick to cast stones.

Rumor is that Kasey Funderberg got fired.

Yes, she showed outrage at the joke tweet but was caught using the N word (no hard R) on Twitter a decade ago. I guess some people aren’t woke enough to delete their own history.

oh it looks like Kasey went off on that fake account, scolding them especially for the black face part. then someone went back and found where she used some racial slurs on twitter a decade ago and put it out there. and now she's fired.

yikes.
The Internet is UNDEFEATED

She was 14.

Chase McGrath said he and the team are gonna do what they can to keep her retained, but we will see.

I think a society that gives children every opportunity to **** the rest of their lives over, and then celebrate it and take a victory lap when it happens, is a failing society. But I digest 🥴.

Especially if you are a public figure, how do you not scrub the **** out of your SM if you even think you remember saying anything? The fact that people just go grab these is wild to me.

I don’t think that’s accurate. Looks like she would’ve been a freshman in college or senior in high school. Graduated UT in 2017.
