Rumor has it. Kasey Funderburg got fired. She told people to stop posting the fake account. Someone went and found tweets from when she was 12 where she said the N word. Now her twitter is private and has no mention of the Vol Network.

That's insane. I remember people quoting Chappelle's Show skits/standup sets on social media in the late 00s using that word. "I'm selling weed *****!" I wonder if they would get fired if people found those posts?

I didn’t see it, but another poster said that Will Levis was quoted saying that they (Tennessee) doesn’t play “real” football down there. Something of that affect. I’m sure it was fake. Maybe someone who actually saw the tweet can respond.

I could be wrong...but usually if it's a random OLD social media post that's not -why- you got fired, that's just the thing they are using.

But I don't know Kasey at all and don't know the daily dealings of Vol Network...I just know in my past certain folks have gotten fired for what seemed like a "one time" thing but it was just the most recent/easy to point to thing that they had done wrong.

Maybe but the “I need a slave” tweet was pretty bad. She may have survived if it was just the other tweets.

The specific tweets I've seen referenced are from 2013 and 2014. Which would've put her at barely 18 at best.

Yes. If you wouldn’t say it out loud around other people, especially of a different race, then yes you’d be fired for it. Common sense, right?

This is absolutely true. But everyone does stupid things as a teenager. We used to expect that and help them grow.
