I was about to write that lol. At the same time though there are businesses that will scour the interwebs to make sure those types of posts are deleted permanent like. She should've used one, but I doubt she even remembered doing something like that 10 or so years ago

When I had a twitter I went through and searched my post history to clear anything possibly perceived as racist or homophobic from when I was a kid. Proudly, there was little to none. I still had someone try to dig up stuff on me, because back in the day when you quote tweeted someone it actually put their words in quotation rather than linking the old tweet, and I had quote tweeted someone else (ironically a black friend talking to me) who used the N word. The person trying to "get me" was too stupid to recognize it wasn't my words and was actually a quote

Uh, no. A satire news reporter (Richard G West) reported that the university was asking fans to show up for a blackout and paint their faces black (blackface) and she announced that was false and to absolutely not do that and not to trust that account. Its the same account that posted the goal post tweet prior to the Alabama game.

I just got off Twitter all together in 2016.
That forum became cancer real quick. And I was a super early adopter. Made some good friends when there was less than 200 people in the entire city using it.

There’s going to have to be a massive lawsuit and win in court at some point to curb this behavior.

Oh a d I have to ask, have you been through a carry permit class?

The permit is useful to have for legal reasons. Even now with permitless carry, if you end up having to use your weapon you will want every possible advantage available to show that you are a responsible citizen. You can defend your life and still go to prison.

Even if you do avoid that, you can be sued and potentially face financial ruin. When the police respond to your situation they will not necessarily assume you are on the level. People with agendas will gladly portray you as the villain if they can and it serves their interests. Everything that can be dug up about you, and what you’ve said in the past can paint a picture that a prosecutor might use to tell a story, whether it is true or not.

The old adage about being tried by twelve being better than carried by six might have a point, but it also misses one. Your life can be ruined even though you are still living. Marriages, friendships, finances, reputation, and your future opportunities have a good chance of being impacted negatively.

I do not believe there permit should be required, but it’s foolish not to have. The half day course is good information if you have never heard it before but it’s hardly sufficient training.

People need to train with their weapons if they choose to carry. Not because of any legal requirement, but because carrying a gun is serious and the consequences for being unprepared can be deadly.

I am very pro 2nd amendment. I believe firearm safety at least should be taught in schools. Everyone should at least consider their rights, and whether they should make use of them. That said, there are plenty of idiots out there are not doing themselves or the rest of us any favors when these awful, preventable tragedies happen.
