Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

It is cultural. It's liberal indoctrination. It's liberal sewage. It's liberal dependency on government. It's the liberal "I deserve this. I shouldn't have to work for this."
I agree with all of your points. But at the same time, I'm still waiting on that big Walter Nolen NIL...

Why are all you Yankees so keen on heading south. Stay the eff up in your liberal paradise. WE DONT WANT YOU OR YOUR COMMUNIST WAYS!

You said that you knew how things worked. You also said that you weren't butt hurt.

I'm not sure how you getting upset and defensive helps explain why things work they way they do in the south. Well maybe you are a great example of why it is the way it is.

I'm not at the least butt hurt. You've never answered my question old wise one. If the south sucks so much why are Yankees and communist California's relocating to the south? If it sucks so bad what's the draw?

I think its the cost of goods and services relative to decades of droughts, FF's, electrical issues, earthquakes, and lack of water. People are rightly fed up with it.

There are a lot of Texans also.

If you could cash out your 2000 sq ft home in NYC for $750K plus your pension, move to Knoxville Tennessee where it's warm and people nice, buy a bigger place on lake with money to spare, wouldnt you ?

People that I know that live in Cali love it bc of lifestyle and the area. They chose to go there. I dont think politics is playing in their minds.
I'm sure the people that chose to stay in California love it and the politics. The people that are leaving the state of California are leaving it because of the politics. They're tired of over bearing government. They're tired of walking through crap on the sidewalk. They're tired of wealth redistribution. They're tired of socialism. They're tired of liberal indoctrination.

Ive read that many are going to Texas, where the jobs are. Oil and Gas industries helped Dallas Ft Worth & Austin be some if not most recession proof towns in Nations.

I think you overestimate how important politics is to people.

How many have you talked to? I've talked to several. All have told me they're tired of the politics. Most have been democrats.

You mean the ones that are moving to Texas are moving for the "crappy, low paying jobs"?

Ya'll crap on the south bit here in Tennessee you can go to community College for free. Zero dollars. Until people take responsibility for their lives, and become self reliant instead of banking on the government to take care of them, they'll never escape poverty.

Invol, I live in the South. I chose to raise my family here. Relax. 'Y'all' doesnt apply.

It's sad. One region is well behind the rest. Not sure what the answer is, but would love to see that change. Gotta do better.
Bias has a lot to do with it. The "educated" turn a blind eye to the South and the "educators" in the South want to be like the North so much they ignore how people in the South live and learn

So for various reasons, where they live sucks, so they want to come here, where it doesn't suck. Isn't that basically what you're saying?

I used to be self reliant. I've been over my health struggles many times, so no need to rehash them all over again, but now my income comes from disability. It's not much, but I survive. And I won't lie, it sucks, and it's embarrassing. But life isn't always fair. You find a way to survive.

Speaking of, I'm off to Nashville in a bit for a procedure on my back. Hopefully it'll help some with the pain and make walking a bit easier.

Prayers for you my friend

You've been degrading the south with several post. Y'all absolutely applies.
Invol, I went back and looked at my post history. Granted something may have been moved that I cannot recall. I said South is lowest in education.

In all fairness, Louisiana, Alabama, and MS along with SC & WV appear to be Southern States with lowest ranked education.

Tennessee and GA are middle of pack. Florida is well, Florida. Prob a lot like GA where big City's have decent public schools but, areas of Lauderdale and Miami are terrible.

It is more than the south, but the south is the highest concentration. Fortunately the southern governors cut off the enhanced unemployment benefits. They always do what's best for their residents.

Yeah. Like getting them back to work? You cannot throw a rock around here without hitting a job. Why would they need enhanced unemployment benefits if they are employed. GO TO WORK!!!
