'22 Recruiting Forum: Official Alabama Pregame/Game Thread

I think our LB’s have exceeded my expectations for the year but they are not better than Bama. I think DL is only group on defense that is playing comparable to Bama and unfortunately I still give them the edge there.

I still think we can beat them as a team but when you break it down to each position group, it’s hard for us to say we are better than them anywhere but WR.
Without Tillman, it's hard to say we're definitely better at WR. But we're close to on par with them at QB (assuming 100% BY), WR, OL, DL, and 3 of those are the most important groups in determining who wins the game. Our secondary is far worse than theirs, which is why I think we lose if both teams play up to their max potential.

Hopefully Neyland's atmosphere and a little bit of luck will be the difference in Bama playing slightly lower than their potential. A few false starts or other mental mistakes or a miscommunication here or there because of the noise could be the difference in the game.

Definitely the biggest UT game of my adult life and my BVS is kicking in…
If it makes you feel better, and at the risk of marginalizing it, sure it’s a monumental game for perception, but Georgia game is more crucial…. we can get Bama again if this doesn’t work out.

✋🏻 Preemptive “why not both” dot gif 🤚🏻

I can hardly wrap my head around what winning this game will mean.

For Tennessee and for college football even.

Everyone is tired of Bama. People don't like college football as much anymore because of how predictable it has become.

We can cause a paradigm shift in the college football landscape and save some of college footballs prestige by getting people to buy back in.

Let's slay the dragon.

We scored 24 last year when the offense was still learning to play with Hooker, and Bama's defense was tougher last year.
Alabama dbs are not good and have to lead league in pi calls. We get time to throw we will move the ball alot. Mix in the run make them off balance and that will make it worse for them. Quicker stuff and the tight end/middle of the field is going to be open a bunch.

Very true regardless of the outcome Saturday if we take care of business the rest of the year the UGA game will be for the East, but up until this point this is the biggest game of my adult life lol

Let's slay the dragon.

What do the Vol Navy, the Pirate, and Landsharks, all have in common this year……
they’ll leave the tide behind and venture into the uncharted waters of a non-Bammer led SEC.

🛥 🏴‍☠️ 🦈 👋🏻…. 🌊

We’re coming for ya, Saban.

Since I can't stop thinking about it

Here are my keys to winning

We need Cedric Tillman to Cedric Tillman

The guy is unguardable. We need him to be somewhere near 100% and he's gotta be good for over 100 yards.

I know we've been doing fine without him, but there's no way we win without him. I mean maybe if Bryce Young doesn't play we can beat them without him, but I doubt they fumble like they did against A&M and we'll need to score, score and score some more.

Bru and Hyatt are becoming dominant without Ced. We need domination across the board to put on enough steam to turn the tide.

We definitely need Bryce Young to not be 100% which he won't, and we need to knock the hell out of him. Don't let Gibbs gash us. Don't give up big plays.

Then paint Neyland with their blood 🥰

Bryce Young gonna take all the Toridol they can find in the Alabama,

i just hope Bill Obrien keeps calling these dumb games and doesnt get Gibbs the ball over 20 times.
My heart says Vols by a Tub, but my head says
Vols lose by a FG but it helps spring board this program back into the prosperity.

Counting on Bill O’Brien to continue doing dumb Bill O’Brien stuff.

Vols - 45
UA - 37

That D hasn’t faced anyone.

- Utah State
- Ewers got hurt so TX had a backup QB
- Vandy
- A&M whose offense is stuck in 1994
- ARK, averaging 29.5 ppg (bottom 1/3 of league) put up 26 on them

Not saying their defense isn’t good, but it hasn’t been tested like the Vols will test it.
I agree...I was just answering a question.

I hope so...but the fact is that we are outmanned vs Bama and UGA. We are way ahead of schedule, but that is still true.
