Let's force another Ramel Keyton/Chaz Nimrod bomb in the 10% chance they catch one. Which will be the absolutely most difficult, insane one handed grab that will give us all false sense of hope.

Our WRs typically have a few yards of separation when we take deep shots. With how athletic some of our guys are (Brazell, Bru, Matthews), I’d tell Nico to just throw it up and have confidence that they’ll catch it. Just don’t overthrow them by 5 yards.

They said - and I didn’t realize this - that this is Alabamas first true SEC road game. But that DeBoer usually coaches well in big games.

And the Alabama guy basically said Ryan Williams is the key to the game for them.

Alabama guy picked Alabama to win 30-24
EC picked Vols 30-27.

Both made their picks with the qualifier that they’re not real confident in them.

Maybe Matthews being injured during fall camp slowed his time to field.

Wingo averages 2.1 receptions per game. 49.3 ypg is inflated by a 3 catch 127 yard game vs UTSA.

As the week goes on, my confidence is waning.

Can’t fix the throw game in the heart of the season. Not against a good opponent. We will hit some throws on a couple drives, Sampson will get his, and the defense will play great ball but expecting some big runs against us due due to Pili’s absence.

It’s concerning that the passing game has gotten worse as the season has progressed
