'24 Recruiting Forum: Official Alabama Pregame/Game Thread

The house thinks the Vols likely win. It’s been a line freeze even though Alabama has been receiving vast majority of the bets, inferring the House probably has money on UT.
I think the amount of money is what moves the line, not the number of bets. If a million people place $1 bets, that won't move the line. If $10 million comes in on Bama, that will move the line no matter how many bets that represents.

Poor wording on my end. The money is moreso what I was referring to which I still think the vast majority of money has come in for Bama.

Not really excited unfortunately.
The Pili loss and the continued poor play of our tackles really concerns me. The injuries to our Wr’s. Plus Nico’s reticence to run.
I just can’t see a win.
But I REALLY REALLY hope I’m wrong.
Go Vols! Prove me wrong, please.

How I feel seeing everyone being more negative than me now

Its obvious they have to:

Get Matthews involved:

Get Nico some designed runs:

Have defense pitch 8, maybe 9:

I'm with ya.

Limit big plays defensively. What scares me about that is, does that take away some of the aggressiveness we've shown on defense?

Offensively... Well, this game to me is all about the o line. Wanna erase the bad taste? Come out biggly tomorrow and own the line is scrimmage. That would do it for me.

Still think this is a toss up. And I still lean Bama because I think they have more answers in their passing game. And milroe's legs. It could only be a couple plays that are there difference, and I think our margin for error is smaller than theirs. Losing Pilli is also a huge loss.

For the unbiased observer, I think this game delivers.

If Bama wins, it’s because Milroe makes plays with his legs when the play breaks down.

Agreed with others posted, would like to see some more designed qb runs. Some quick hitters to the te or wrs and feed Sampson out if the backfield. Make bama tackle on space which they’ve struggled with the last few games. Get them coming downhill then capitalize on the long ball a few times. Felt like we were really close last game, but lost confidence after the early turnovers.

Quick start and let’s get some mojo going

Just a few heavy blows was all it took last year. Hope the Vols are ready to withstand those today.
