Recruiting Forum: Official Appalachian State Pre-Game/Game Thread

I agree that Evan needs to get the ball on offense. I don't understand why it hasn't been tried. I imagine he can take a handoff on a first down middle run too.

When a random Internet poster can predict your play calls as accurately as we did... we got problems

Trending on Twitter: App St #1 and Tennessee #2. None of it positive for UT. We're getting roasted by pretty much everyone.

Nobody will remember this game in 48 hours. This game only mattered if we had lost it.

Exactly. I don't even care now. We won.

It's fair to say that this team has some issues. Major issues, perhaps. But I don't think we're as bad as we looked tonight. And hopefully App State is a 2011 Houston-level mid-major team.

Where gonna be OK. CBJ isn't going to comment on team play until after he can review the tape.

Anyone else notice how much the refs slowed us down on offense even when there was no substitution? Dobbs seemed to be getting frustrated by this.

Last year was their first year in the FBS, and they won the most games in their first year of the FBS than any others in their first years.

Oh, I think this is going to be a hot topic for a while. Every time the SECE race is brought up, this game is going to be used as an example of how overrated UT was. It's not a conference game, but we'll fall in the rankings and that matters, win or lose.

SEC E race is a w/l formula, not a popularity contest.

When they talk about the SEC East race you know what they are gonna talk about? Our first SEC game.

This game is over and nobody outside of Knoxville will care that we squeeked by in a day and a half.

Agreed. It was one of the ugliest wins we've ever had, but you know what? We won. We aren't going to be an App State highlight clip nine years from now like Michigan still is. We finished it out.

LOL. Wanna bet? It will be discussed all week leading up to Bristol. On Gameday. On SEC Nation. By callers from at least 10 states on Finebaum.

If I told you guys Tennessee would go 12-0, but every game (including the Ohio and Tennessee Tech games) was won by one point. Would you guys be happy or mad about that?
