'24 Recruiting Forum: Official Arkansas Pregame/Game Thread

That’s why in the first year of a 12 team playoff you should be happy that these kinds of losses don’t doom you. This coach literally brought us back to playing high level games after 15 years.
I respect your positivity. I would also love to wager any amount you would like on us making the playoffs 😂

#Vols RB Dylan Sampson: Some of our actions were probably a little lackadaisical in the open week, taking things for granted.

RB Dylan Sampson: This is probably the first time we’ve gotten hit with real adversity. Offensively, we’ve got to find some plays to get going. But it was a lot of us hurting ourselves.

RB Dylan Sampson: Arkansas kind of came out and played a 3-3 star defense. They hadn’t showed a lot of that on film.

Is it the OC calling the plays or is it the OC relaying info to Heupel and he calls the plays/they take turns or something. How does it actually work? I thought it was more if the latter which anyways means we need someone better up there in the booth.
Sounds like you agree with me. This all falls at the feet of the HC. If Heup is calling the plays - as has been reported multiple times in the last 13 months by VQ and other outlets, this abortion is fully on him. If it’s actually Halzle, Heup needs to man up and take the reins. Either way, daming indictment on our HC, who is supposedly an offensive genius.

It just sucks that we finally get an elite, #1 QB recruit, and it turns out he’s not that great. He has time to grow, but man watching Alabama bring in 5-star after 5-star for years and having them ready to rip it from day one and seeing our guy struggle to make basic decisions is maddening.
Hell bama has a guy who is a terrible QB rn and he would run circles around Nico.
