Turnover free last night so boneheaded mistakes aren’t the problem; generating no real passing attack is. I would actually feel better about a few boneheaded plays mixed around some passing production
I was speaking to not throwing the ball on the last play but yeah you're right. Being anemic is alarming.

Its really weird seeing this iteration of Heupel's offense. at UCF, RBs Juice and Killins were so involved in the pass game bc they were automatic mismatches vs LBs and safetys. we dont see any of that here and we have had incredibly explosive RBs the last 3/4 years (Tyon, Jaylen & Sampson) .

it seems offensively we have become more scheme-centric and less player centric.

Like Bru McCoy and Tae Thornton should lead the team in WR touches, and we need to find away to get LBs and safeties lined up against our best playmakers.

Maybe they truly believe Squirrel White is that. I havent seen playmaking out of him since hes been here.

Unfortunately Heup is about to experience “the other side” of our generally incredible fanbase.
He'll be fine as long as he beats Florida and is competitive vs Bama. Although there will be some discontent even with a loss to the Tide with them losing to Vandy.

When is the last time we “annihilated” Florida?

What universe have some of you been living in for the last 30 years?

I would be grateful for a 1 point win vs Florida.
Wasn't it in the early 90's during a torrential downpour? I believe the final score was 45-3.

What’s many more?

And what specifically about offensive play calling didn’t you like?
Execution! Most fans just don't understand enough to tell the difference. And it's much easier and seems more powerful to throw it on play calling. I mean we all call a flawless offensive game on our Playstation. Play calling was certainly not perfect. There is some fault there. As EVERY OC would tell you the same thing after a game. Execution and very good defensive gameplans are by far the biggest causes of our worst offensive showings.

Im not ready to concede losses to Bama and UGA
It would be dumb to concede those. Got fans saying there is no way we beat Alabama at home, lol. They just lost to Vanderbilt. Arkansas is a solid team that had a great gameplan and UT played awful. And still had a chance (should have) won. Once everyone's alcohol wears off today hopefully the grab back ahold of reality.

The last 20 minutes in 2016 were an incredible beatdown. Problem is, they poured it on during the first half so the final score wasn’t super lopsided. But we dominated them during the second half.

It’s been 30 years.

2-3 because the team I saw last night could very well lose to FL, KY, and Vandy. Others have already answered your second question. If you think that game was managed well last night on offense you are blind.

I am. Added UF to the list, too. That's an L until the team proves otherwise. I'm just hoping we can sweep UK and Vandy. A split there is more likely. I shudder to think we could lose both but a couple of injuries in the wrong spots brings it into play.

Welcome to the dark side. Enjoy your stay.

My question was what about the play calling specifically didn’t you like? Nobody has answered that. And nobody really can bc if watching on tv we have no idea what was open and what Nico might’ve missed. Maybe guys were open all night? I have no clue. Easy to bash the execution - and deservedly so and everyone would agree execution was sh*t - but I have no idea if it was bad play calling. Play calls look worse when the OL whiffs on blocks (can see this watching on tv) and when the QB isn’t seeing the field (can’t see this watching on tv).

Also I’d say you’re being a little bit prisoner of the moment. Did you watch UK vs USCe? Or Vandy vs Ga St? Those versions of those teams would go winless on the season. Point being maybe that was the worst we’ll play all season. Maybe not, but wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for the team to look a lot better moving forward.

You have good points and I hope you’re right about that last part. Last nights sloppy play doesn’t really instill a lot of confidence for me since I’ve seen this so many times.

I was at the game so I can talk about what I saw firsthand. Why did we stop the double stack of the receivers? Why not outside runs by the backs? Why no screen passes to the backs. Why no outlet or hot receiver? Why no quick slants? Why no designed QB runs? These are just some of the things that were not run to my knowledge. We looked very predictable and lethargic on offense, like we were still on our bye week.
