I like you Marco. You're a positive guy. I usually am too.

But this season is over. Title wise. Maybe my expectations were too high but I can't throttle down to decent bowl game aspirations. We are losing a couple more.
Milkshake bowl incoming. At least all the girls will come to the yard

Or was it boys??? Uhhhh

Maybe it’s because I’m the negative guy and never had national title aspirations, but I actually disagree.
You think we beat Bama and Georgia? Id say those are both most likely Ls. And UK/Candy/Florida any of which could be another. Our most likely outcome right now is 8-4/9-3.

No I don’t. But that’s kind of my point. I never did think we would go 12-0 or 11-1. I thought 9-3 was most likely before the season started and still do.

I feel that. I’m not a title or bust guy. Understand there are those that are tho and to each their own. And that game sucked azz. Also think this team could still make the playoffs. MUCH more difficult path now but nobody looks invincible.

Excited to see how they respond. Including the staff.

He was awesome. Very underappreciated.

This system is proving not to be "QB friendly" IMO. I've watched back to back QBs struggle terribly.
One struggled at Michigan and lost his job,
Struggled here and lost his job to one that went on to be great,
Then struggled again as default starter.
The other has started 5 games.
Not exactly scientific proof.

But the offense may not be all it’s thought to be

Dang, hurts as bad as 2022 SC game. It’s Heupel’s offense but has anyone else noticed how conservative it is since Golesh left? I used to get frustrated at how much we threw deep balls back then, but now we barely do. UCF fans were even frustrated for throwing too many deep balls. Since Golesh left we barely throw down field. Starting to wonder if Hooker was just a gem like Dobbs. Just completely confused how we were more competitive with less talent a couple years ago. Hoping a loss like this gets us focused, but man, no excuse for that offense when UAB put up over 30

We will probably lose to Kentucky. The season is quite honestly over. We won’t make the playoff. Let’s be honest we aren’t beating Bama or UGA. Our offense is abysmal if guys aren’t running free wide open. Tonight was absolutely pathetic. Nico is not as billed. Heupel has slouches big time in the passing game.

I’m sorry we could be hot garbage and we wouldn’t lose to Kentucky my dude.

Damn you’re still up too.

Yeah that game at home, no way we lose. Vandagriff is so damn bad lol.

We can still salvage this season. If the oline fixes its issues this offense can get going a lot more. I’m hoping Heard just isn’t in game shape. Him and his “handler” need to realize that if he keeps sitting out games and playing like this he’s not even going to get drafted.

Nico is a redshirt freshman. Same as Johnny football and Jameis when they won the Heisman. He's not a baby.
No one said he's a baby. Just inexperienced. Going to make bone headed mistakes. Every single team we've played has thrown out some defense they didn't put on film.

I still think we have the talent to go 10-2. My doubt is now about Heupel. He took a team with significantly less talent to 10-2, but he was a different coach in 2022. I agree with the theory that having a good defense has broken his mentality offensively.

Hooker was way more experienced and I understand there is trust that might not be there with Nico yet, but the kid has 2 interceptions in 6 starts. He isn’t going to kill us by being more aggressive. The tempo returning probably helps him because it limits him from overthinking.

Start Gaston against UF. Tell Nico whatever that was last night is unacceptable. Still probably lose to UF but it won’t be because of Nico.

Can’t wait to see everyone talking themselves into 10-2 or 11-1 still tomorrow.

I’ll probably be there as well tbh….ugh
Well, we are not winning at Georgia. This team plays so scared on the road minus the first half against Oklahoma. We will have to win out minus Georgia to have a chance to make the playoffs. I’m just worried about Florida now. They are playing better. We are playing terrible. And we got banged up pretty bad last night.

Seriously though, how is the midget QB for Candy from NMSU better than Nico? If that ain't cursed idk what is.
Because the OC is creative with his playcalling and he’s not scared to let his QB make plays with his legs! If we would do the same with Nico, it would open up this offense so much!

Every team has a bad game, this was Tennessee's now flush it and move on.

First half AL last year too (masterpiece) and then we coached scared in 2nd half.

The issue re last night is the trend of just laying eggs on the road annually and coaching scared away from Neyland. Also team looked unprepared last night coming off a bye week.

Defensive talent made up for calls and subs going in late leading to consistent misalignment.

Offense was bland, no creativity and the O Line is getting worse at pass pro, not better.

But then the season started and how good the defense is became apparent. At that point, your expectations must have changed to some extent, no?
