'24 Recruiting Forum: Official Florida Pre-game/Game Thread

I know the major jump in this offense is from year 1 to 2 but man. There isn’t one single thing to feel good about outside of winning the game. Defense without Pili looks disjointed when pressured by the O’s tempo… D Line is still good and Sampson is still good but other than that… nothing to feel good about except the W. Just come out next week ready to play so you don’t get blasted off the field.

I swear since the Bama game there have maybe been two holds called on our opponents.

One of the best d-lines in the country somehow never gets a call.

Glad for the win but we haven’t fixed our problems yet. Just beat a team with a coach that won’t be retained. Our OL can’t protect. Nico still having issues with decision making and accuracy. Happy to beat Florida but concerned about the rest of the season. Need to figure out the offense if that means just rolling Nico out more.

We’re the better team obviously, but they are definitely having more fun over there this season then we are so far.

We have to get stressful wins, meanwhile they are enjoying a dream season with a Bama win….crazy.

Yup, we are vastly overrated. Don’t think we’re a playoff team at this point. Our offense is trash. We are celebrating a (barely) win over an atrocious UF team that didn’t have their QB1 or RB1 for most of the 2nd half to a goon of Coach who is quite possibly on Dooley level. Again, I know most will cheer because we’ll it’s UF but with the state of our team and the performances the past 3 games this essentially feels like an L almost.

We can win games on the back of this defense and playing conservatively but Nico has to be better. He doesn't even need to live up to his ranking yet but he needs to be better.

Don’t know what’s up with Nico. He’s missing throws the last 2 games he made in the first 4. But yes, he’s got to be better.

Sure, if you watch each game in a vacuum but things carryover each week. We need incremental gains. We need OL to get serious so Nico can improve. We need Nico to hit some of those downfield throws.

OL was much better in the second half. Nico needs to improve. Missed some guys and throws. But hes our QB. Each game is different though. A play against UF doesn’t affect the Bama game. I will be in front of the tv next week.

We’re not a playoff team at this point. Beating Florida will sugarcoat the situation but a win is a win. Always great to beat them. However, many problems to fix. At least it was a good showing for the recruits in house.

Glad for the win, but I swear there is a conspiracy with the holding calls. It makes ZERO sense.

There's a very simple explanation. Nico breaks the pocket and neither Heard nor Campbell know how to just stand in the way when it happens.

Called or not, they have an arm across the rusher's chest every single time Nico rolls out.
