JAllen do you know why Hurd wasn't playing in the 4th quarter? Was he in the doghouse literally? Honestly if Butch really did that I would be shocked. Unless he mouthed off or something.

I've not seen the replay yet. Me and some other guys I was talking with were wondering why he wasn't playing much down the stretch, and we thought he had dropped the ball on the round while running through the end zone.

The only thing I see in the play is that he bangs heads with a UGA defender on a block. He runs hard through the end zone. It's odd.

I don't remember the down or distance, but I thought he looked a little shaken after the hard run (a good run but had one yard to go for a first), but he got up with a bunch of turf in his helmet. I thought it odd him staying on the sidelines with that particular short yardage situation coming up.

Still two things that are really bothering me:

Punting in the first from the 34. That is not something we should do. What kind of message does that send. I would rather try the FG and miss. Have some balls.

And Two: the horrible conservative play calling at the end of the game going 3 and out giving UGA a chance. You don't coach like that. Play to win. If they don't get the ball they can't win. Come on Butch. Play to win.

I have no idea. That was the last play where I saw him actually take a hit. Granted it came one play prior to hisnTD catch.

Is the replay of the game up on ESPNwatch App already?

I turned to my Dad and said on 3rd down at the end with the ball, you have one play to end the game. I don't understand why we don't see that the % is much better to get a first down to win game rather than punt and play defense.

I would have ran the ball. Probably would have tried at least one designed QB run as I think that would have picked us up a 1st, but you definitely run in that situation. You absolutely have to choke away all of UGAs TO in that scenario. Passing doesn't guarantee a 1st, but does guarantee UGA has 2-3 TOS left if they get the ball back.

You can play "to win", but I'll play smart.

When the Vols lost the 2007 SEC Championship game, I threw my remote in to the wall so hard the remote shattered & there was a softball size hole in the wall. I've calmed down since then.
