We get by ok when the pass rush is effective.
It was only effective a few times tonight.
No holding calls. All night again???

This pretty much guarantees we won’t finish worse than 8-4. Just Split Mizzou and Georgia and finish 9-3 and that will set us up for a potential Citrus Bowl bid. That’ll be good for this program in what feels like a slight step back

Thank goodness we won, even though once again the SEC tried to screw us...the boys just played their freakin guts out and took it from them anyway...so proud of them....really proud of them.


But seriously...somebody with some power has got to try to do SOMETHING about this crooked ass SEC officiating against us...this is sickening.

They were grabbing, choking and horse collaring all up and down the LOS the whole freaking game...and once again mauling our recievers all over the field..the boys were just able to fight through it better than last week.

You have to give it to Leary though. There were multiple throws that were perfect. I know people don’t care to hear it, but 6-12 inches off, and it’s a different result.

He did have a good game throwing...it helped him a lot that his OL was allowed to maul our pass rushers all night.

It all works together. The DL has to help the secondary, and they did not in pass defense tonight. It’s been shown to us in multiple games, so I don’t know people just automatically say the secondary stinks. Against USC and A&M, the secondary was solid, with a very good pass rush.

The DL was getting raped..how do you guys not see that...it is freaking obvious as hell.

You allow holding and it kills any defense if the opponent has a competent QB and WRs. I've been pleasantly surprised that the defense has been able to dominate the run and get pressure on QBs even while being held for a good part of the year.

Our secondary is not playing as bad as people think either. Hurts losing Hadden who was one of best DBs in the country this year. It's difficult to cover for more than 3 seconds because the DL goes through periods when they can't get home because the zebras won't call holding.

Happy for Joe. Played some of his best ball under pressure, on the road, game on the line. Solid!

Clemson bowl game last season UVA game, 1st jhalf of Bama game and this game have really helped Joe's draft stock. Heupel going to help him get drafted high. He's playing as well as or better than Levis or Richardson did last year before the went in 1st round.

Milton has more arm talent than either, better & more consistent accuracy than Richardson and runs almost as well and better than Levis. Decision making is comparable but protects the ball better than either. Better leader than Richardson and doesn't have the weirdness of Levis. An NFL GM or two is going to fall in love with him and make him a top 20 pick....maybe top 10.

Correct. All penalties on them were procedural penalties. Utter trash. SEC continues to try to screw us over.

Basically the sec is telling us that every team has the discipline of the greatest NFL teams to have ever played.

We stopped the run with some authority.
Leary had the best game of his career.

We were efficient offensively and were timely on defense.

This was a great win on the road.

Gotta find a way to clean up penalties.

I believe I said somewhere before the game if Wright and Sampson get over 150, we win. Wright had 120, and Sampson had 75.

That said. It was complete coincidence. i honestly thought defense wouldn't hold. gutsy win.

I think... Early on Leary and the UK wr's played their best game. Coverage really wasn't bad... More than a couple contested catches that you just tip your hat to UK on...

I'll had a good plan for the passrush and they played well on the offensive line in pass pro.

Which is why I'm even more impressed with how we won that game... From a plan standpoint we did what we wanted to defensively... It just didn't work exactly how we hoped it would...

And we still won. Joe, Wright, Sampson.... Great game.

And we need to remember that UK had a bye week while we played Bama. That’s a massive advantage for them. We need to rest the guys who have some injuries. Go out and get a big lead by halftime this Saturday, and get some rest for Mizzou. I want to see us play man the entire game this Saturday, and find DBs we can trust in man coverage. Stop playing this zone most of the game.
