The program was pathetic before Johnny. He was coming off a number 3 ranking too. Difference is the AD has no balls now compared to Dickey

After all of the come from behind wins, I've tried to give this staff the benefit of doubt, but there is just no excuse for this loss. True freshman QB who should still be in HS starting his 2nd game beats you coming off a bye week, that's inexcusable.

There were only four players on our team who showed up tonight; Barnett and Vereen on defense, Jennings and Kelly on offense. Rest of the team showed no hustle or energy. As much as I like Dobbs as a student athlete, I'm going to be glad to see a well rounded QB run this offense next year. He's too indecisive and inaccurate as a passer to make our offense capable of competing at championship level.

Only positive to this loss is that we can watch the gators get destroyed by Bama instead of us. That, and maybe we start to see more of younger players like Warrior and hopefully Dormady so he can get more experience. I REALLY want to see this offense with a legitimate passing game!

Please tell me that Blackburn is still the favorite for AD. Hope he has the balls to put Butch on notice that these results will not be accepted at the University of Tennessee. You can't blame injuries on tonight- yes it hurt but we still should have won and somehow I knew early in the game that we weren't going to win. Wonder if the team will just fall apart now and pull a 2008 Wyoming performance for next weeks game? I am not going to attend it now- I'm not spending more money and time on this piece of S--T coached team.

Last year's team was a million times better. We didn't let bad teams play with us. What is the drastic change? The defense? Injuries?

I would call this loss "falling apart"
South Carolina is AWFUL. And we gave them the game at every opportunity

Yeah, back then big time coaches were jumping to big time programs. I know I will get lambasted for this, but Tenn is not, nor was a great gig (without heavy "contributor" influence). Our "contributors" have either been turned away, or they are not as charitable. Hence, the influx of 3 stars. I know, I know. We have Bob Welton! PuhLEASE with that nonsense.

Well I am not taking up for CBJ, but if we lost another this year an has a bad year next year, then he would really be feeling the hot seat if not gone. jmo

Anyone notice how peeved jones looked at the end. Looked at the players and and pointed to get off the field.

Part of me wonders if he is frustrated with this team's lack of preparation/motivation. The players have to step up too not just the coaches.

just tired of the cliches, the talk with no results....we get fed all this hype and we lose 20 players to injury, all seemingly major players for us. We lose to Carolina and let them build momentum with recruiting and their perception. Meanwhile our fans, who have been dying for something great for over a decade gets shyt on once again by an underachieving, uninspired team. Nobody wants to hear what Butch has to say bc everybody sees it with their own eyes now. We have an OC that literally nobody wanted for good reason. Its just a joke man. We got the East in our fingertips and we shytt the bed. because Vols.

I think he might've been concussed again. Got rocked blocking for Bird on a jet sweep, looked like his bell was rung, came back for a few plays but sat out the rest.

Of course, he still had his helmet but I think that was also the case vs Georgia

Not sure many fans will care that he acknowledges that it's unacceptable. The scoreboard the last three games has been more meaningful than his empty words.

My opinion personally is there are multiple reasons. The players have gotten cocky and think they can just show up. Bad coaching and injuries are also a problem. Still there is no excuse to lose to Carolina with a bye week the week before.

Sad thing is this guy wants to be here you could see it after the Florida and Georgia wins but he has got to make wholesale changes to this High School coaching staff that we currently have and hire somebody on defense they can teach a guy to f****** tackle. Damn it I like Butch but something has got to freaking change
