This is what happens with a new coach as was pointed out. Everything bad is the fault of the players and/or the previous coach. Everything good is because of the new coach. Rinse and repeat for a few years and the cycle starts all over. Happened for Kiffin, Dooley, Jones, and now Pruitt. You can set your watch by it.

Pruitt could end up not being the guy. That's still in the air. Season one isnt on the new coach. He inherited the roster, the culture the dysfunction that led to the firing of the prior coach. When his guys are in, it's on him. he has one more recruiting class after this one, as he should.

A lot of people before the year said things like we have a solid roster, picked us to beat wVU, JG is a nfl caliber qb, etc. It’s a two way street for everything.

Is it Helton can't scheme an offense with poor oline play or is he handcuffed by JG or both?

So now we don't think the coach cares? Well, let's see. I think in the past 3 hours we've managed to criticized pretty much everything and everybody having anything to do with UT football. On second thought, we haven't criticized the grounds keeper or pa announcer like we did a few years ago, I guess we're doing better.

As I said a couple of weeks ago, it won't take much for some fans to turn on CJP. We're there already.

Yep. I am sure there are some who want Pruitt fired for this loss. I know some want Helton and Sherrer fired. This type of thinking is exactly what has gotten us to the point we are now. Yet those same fans think that hiring and firing will solve everything. Its comical.

We gotta give somebody five/six years here. How can these guys recruit when the fans bail on them so quickly?

There had been no over promising on results.

We were 5-6 going in to this game, it's not like we are being UPSET here.

Yeah, this is about how I felt the season would go W-L wise, but man looking absolutely pathetic against Vandy isn't a good look at all. Doesn't matter how rough the roster is or what year in your tenure, it's bad.
