It's really weaselly for sure, especially considering there's absolutely no way anyone believes the real reason for his firing is lying about death threats.

If you seriously think currie might keep Jones then I don't know what your smoking. This is all smoke and mirrors for public perception to potential coaches that he will be in your corner and be given every opportunity to succeed meanwhile at florida you have fans threatening to kill their coach that win the division his first 2 yrs and they are trying to find ways to not pay him and kick to curb..... we may be impatient and not care but I'd say the type of coaches you want care.

Yeah, if he makes the right hire, alls well that ends well. But the morning after losing to Kentucky, I want my pound of flesh.

Edit: and in light of the Florida situation, I'm compelled to mention that this is only an expression coined by Bill Shakespeare.

It's really messed up. I'd like to think karma would bite Florida over it, but given my experiences as a Tennessee fan I am disinclined to believe Florida will do anything but return to greatness.
