I'm not trying to pull a bruin here.

But I don't really want to wait 15 minutes for them to go to the replay booth and asses subjective infractions on guys. Deciding who did enough to get penalized and who didn't.

I agree that it's lame to see somebody be ejected for a late hit when they weren't involved in the brawl.

I think maybe there should be a new foul for fighting that is seperate from field of play personal fouls

i don't disagree with a future change but it doesn't diminish the egregious mistake using the current rules. Your preference of not waiting an additional 15 mins should not be a concern when deciding to wrongfully punish 80% of the participants because someone isn't bothered to wait 15 minutes to get it right

If the AD has nothing to say that is news worthy then there is no statement needed.

It is business as usual right now. No need for a statement saying that.

When the AD has something to say he will say it.

He isn’t Hamilton who looked for every opportunity to talk to the media.

UF AD made a statement yesterday and what good did it do. It was in full support of MAC and it looks like it was a complete lie.

Currie won’t do that.

SBV is optimistic about something he's heard about Gruden but I don't buy it.

Allow yourself to imagine riding this thing out to November, going 4-8, losing every recruit worth keeping, then trotting Chad Morris out to the podium on December 1st.

We WOULD hire a coach with a worse record than Dooley had when we hired him.

Currie has chosen not to make a statement. Remaining silent is his choice, not UT's.

Which is interesting in a way.

He's the figure that everyone looks at during such times.

He's either holding a royal flush and has ice water in his veins or the venom Jones has been receiving is fixing to change directions

As bad as that would be...Chad Morris is still an upgrade. I would trade an entire class just to get the right coach no matter how long it takes.

Must have missed that.

This does nothing for me, and it's not directed at you but, if there doesn't currently exist some semblance of precidence to can his a$$, then when will there?

Currie is hurting the program by keeping him and prolonging the misery. And entertaining any idea of keeping him is complete and utter incompetence and negligence of his position as AD.

Having an elite hire ready to announce right after he fires Butch is the only thing that makes sense. Because fans will forget how they feel right now about Currie if when he finally does let Butch go he turns around and announce Jon Gruden or the like as HC. Currie would go from moron incompetent AD to HERO!

Or he sucks at his job.

He looks like a terrible leader.

Actually, part of being a good leader is being strong enough to make what you know is the best decision even when it is not the most popular decision. Currie has the big picture, long term health of the programin mind. He is firing CBJ but he has reasons that he thinks makes it better to wait to fire him. He is not worried about fans emotions because they are short term. Hire the right coach and win and today's fan emotions will be of no consequence.

At this point, bring on Chad. People trying to outsmart themselves have thrown much worse names here.

Yeah...but waiting on clarification from which of those two scenarios is the case here still makes him look like a fool...until he's not 😏

It's a shame that people can't be patient. I'm not in an uproar right now because:

A. It's a form of entertainment and not something that will affect my life.

B. I know that Butch will be gone and that good times are ahead.

I don't understand why people are demanding Currie to be fired already. He's not done anything that warrants him to be fired.

I'm with you buddy.

I wasn't trying to relate it to my personal preference. But more that those kinds of reasons are considered

When the present is this bad, it's nice to be able to hold on to something from the past.

It's the last top stat we hold, and it means something to a lot of long-time UT fans. With four OOC games, it should be a gimme. CBJ's going to throw a brick at it, though.

Sure he is. But the longer he allows Butch to be the face of this program the shorter his own leash becomes. If he doesn't have Gruden or Kelly in pocket 95% of the fanbase will be irate.

Appearances matter. If he fired him today and then ended up with Chad Morris at the end of it, the appearance would be he worked hard for a month but that's the guy we got.

If we fire Butch right after Vandy then subsequently hire Morris two days later, the appearance will be they didn't try with any of the bigger names and immediately settled.

Fair or not, that's how this is going to play out.

I agree, it's not a good look for UT. I still think he's fired before the Southern Miss game. Don't see how Currie can let him coach the Homecoming game. But I thought he would be fired last weekend so who knows. Maybe he does finish the season out.

But the stat isn't worth the future.

I would trade that stat for a first down in an SEC game

I'm leaning towards the latter.

Cimalgia makes those two field goals and we win last night. My kingdom for a dead eyed kicker.

Play that game all day

If we scored TDs no reason for him to miss

If Nigel Warrior catches a ball that was handed to him we win

If Butch forgets to set his alarm clock...
