Honestly, I think he finishes out the season.

I do. I hate that, but I do.

Wyoming was Fulmer's Waterloo. Butch seemingly has had two; SC and now UK. Dude is made of f'ing teflon, or at least that's the appearance the AD has given him.

It's infuriating.
This will be the fewest number of games I've watched since Ranger School if he stays.

Well.

Things to look forward too.

We will be a beast on offensive next year.

Running game will be a very strong point and JG is maturing like Dobbs.

Need a WR coach bad though.

Defense, I don't know.

Taylor Bituli DK Gaulden and Warrior and going to be legit but besides them we drop off quit a bit. We can presume Tuttle will be back to who he was and Kahil isn't just that dominating of a player. Shamburger has shown promise but is that his ceiling?

I can agree with this but unless something crazy happens and we get a great coach, the backups and starters after that will be a mess of 2-3* because no one worth their salt will want to come and play here.

Early? Who out there thinks we haven't given Butch an ocean of grace? We're 3-5, 0-5 in the conference in year 5.

If a coach out there thinks we haven't given Butch enough support because we fired him under these circumstances, then they're not the guy for the job.

It's a fair point but I believe these coaches have tremendous egos

If you are worried tensions are high and more fights are possible, it is a good way to get everyone to contain themselves out of fear of ejection.

If you call that crap, you don’t call another unsportsmanlike the rest of the game unless absolutely warranted. The Bituli shoulder check should have been a no call and now Bituli was ejected because of something that happened the first time that he didn’t even do.

Currie and Co are watching our program being run through the mud nationally and doing nothing about it... That is more telling than most think. They either have their plan locked in place and are willing to take the short-term heat and come out on top at the end, or they don't know what they are doing and are screwing this up royally...
GA is a must win game for Butch
SC now is a must win game for Butch
We have to have a close game with AL for Butch
KY is now a must win game for Butch
SoMiss is now a must win game for Butch
WTF.
F the UT Admin and AD at this point.
All of us are going to have breaking points at different times during this 'ish show, but mine is this morning.
FL has gotten more done in one week than we have in almost two years, and we just seem nationally to be playing a giant game of grab ass... totally embarrassing.

You’ll post every day. Before and after the new guy is hired. :)

We see this. Why can't Currie? I agree, When Cade doesn't wanna play here that tells you all you need to know.

The coaching fraternity as a whole does not like the idea of midseason firings. Is that really that difficult to comprehend?

There’s honestly no point in getting mad about this anymore. Who cares if he finishes the season. He’s gone. Do everything thing you can to try to impress the next coach, even if that means showing loyalty to butch.

It's in line with Currie's personality. He doesn't feel a need to answer to those he considers outside the process. He will either make a good hire-- or not-- on his timeline.

Which is exactly how it should be. He is not doing his job if he is catering to our (fan) whims. He must do his job rationally, not emotionally.

Voice your complaints

There's another email that donors use. Anybody who has it should use that one. The generic emails for the AD and Chancellor are screened by interns. They keep a tally, though, so the number of complaints are logged and noted.

Of course not, but no reason to be held hostage by it. Compared to what Florida is doing, what LSU did, I'm sure we would look like pushovers to a rational candidate. They are trying to screw a guy out of 13 million bucks because he's not winning enough. We will most likely pay ours in full.

The last part is scary for him IMO.

He erases the "noise" between now and when he fires Jones with a big hire.

If not, he's started a fire with his timeline or plan and the bad hire is a stocked gas station.

Yep. We end up with Satterfield/Bobo, he will be reviled in this town.

Pretty sure Florida is sabotaging any chance they had to draw a big name with the Mac stuff.

And LSU fired Miles on like game 4 and ended up with....The Ogre

It's his job to get it fixed (along with the help of those influential people involved).

The plan (requiring patience) will be an after thought if he succeeds. If not, the patience for an underwhelming hire that doesn't fix it will put him square in the crosshairs.

Screwing him out of 13 million? That's not at all the picture our administration is painting to potential coaches. Our admin is telling potential coaches that our current coach has done a lot of good for our program over 4 1/2 years and we are allowing him the opportunity to turn it around this season. That's a picture that would resonate with potential coaches.

Us firing Butch is not analagous to LSU's egregious treatment of Les Miles nor Flordia trying to weasel out of a buyout to a man that just won them back to back East titles.

We would simply be letting someone go who wasn't adequately doing the job he is, and will continue to be, paid for.
