Or, we have our replacement, and that replacement wanted Butch treated with class, and also wanted his privacy until it was time. Butch has made that very very difficult with this loss, but that makes the most sense based on where we are.

In the last 10 years, what has given you the glimmer of hope that we have all these ducks in a row right now at this moment?
Tell me please, I want to be as optimistic as you but Ive said hello to darkness, my old friend way too many times in recent years to even halfway believe things are lining up for a change with this current and our next coach

Continuing to throw Butch to the wolves week after week is not class treatment.

People don't want to hear it, and this is the last time I'm posting it, but UT does not have the next HC in place. Gruden has not told UT he wants to coach college football, and there is no formal offer or acceptance. UT has a HC, and the university is doing due diligence.

Not great news for Homecoming Week, but that's where it is.

How many p5 teams have already fired their coach this year?

1? And he resigned

Not talking about this year only obviously. Head coaches get fired mid season all the time and there's never any widescale academic fallout. As previously said, if Butch is singlehandedly meeting the team of academic probation we have bigger problems.

You can't honestly believe that's a valid reason.

People saying Jones has the worst offensive scheme they have every seen is Crazy.
It's no different than thinking Dave Clawson was a terrible coach in 2008. Sometimes teams just get into funks and 99 times out of 100 it's centered around inexperienced QB play.

Not at all. He came into this position touting open lines of communication and transparency... so communicate. He doesn't need to give specifics of any kind-- he wouldn't and he shouldn't. Fans just want to hear something. That's not emotional-- it's good business and a sign of leadership. CEOs and politicians have done it for generations.

I didn't say anything about making a statement. I am talking about him making his decision about when to fire CBJ based on fan reaction.

I 100% believe you and agree, try explaining this in football forum though...I dare you, they are frickin crazy over there lol

There gonna be real mad when either:

1. Butch remains UT's coach next year

2. Butch is finally fired and someone not named gruden is announced...

The insiders over there have brainwashed so many people.. it's over the top. I wish freak could somehow vet a few of the so called "insiders" bc this time is 100x worse then the last set grumors... People are in way too deep

Not having a td in over a month is more than inexperienced qb play.

I'm going to be real mad if no. 1 happens.

That is my point with the UK loss and it being a tipping point. Prior to the losses I imagine he thought he could finish with some wins. He can also resign but appears to be too stubborn.

I still say most logical explanation regards next coach and not Butch.

Academic thing is just what is being shared, I'm not making that argument one way or another. I'm willing to admit that I don't know enough about it.

And that's my stance in general. I don't know.

I think it's naive to think Currie is just twiddling his thumbs. There is a plan, it's being followed imo. we will see what happens.

The OL has had their moments (2015 vs. Bama), but overall, OL play has been all five years. We had multiple NFL OL Butch's first year, we have some there now waiting to be developed IMO, and we've been through 2 OL coaches now. So I'm convinced this is because of garbage blocking scheme. Yes we had some record-setting offenses the previous two years, but I truly believe that's because we had some exceptional skill players in Dobbs, Kamara, Malone, and yes, Hurd that were able to excel in spite of this pee wee league scheme.

It's going to be a sh** show in the gruden forum. They have lost their minds

Peyton Manning being involved, and Fulmer being brought into the fold. JMO.

Meanwhile, ESPN reports that Mac has met with UF admin and an announcement will be forthcoming. Looks like Sexton was able to make quick work of that one.
