I'm good with that. Two step improvement with all three. People are undervaluing Brohm. He's made a bottom feeder competitive of late with team D. The game against Wisconsin was impressive. He will always lag in recruiting at Purdue. But having a shot at a bowl there is almost a miracle. Got a good shot with all of his last 5 games winnable.

Purdue is horrible..... I like Brohm as an up and comer.

Left us high and dry weeks before signing day which caused Hambone to make a panic hire. Said hire couldn’t coach and damn sure couldn’t recruit. Lack of talent on roster caused coaches to turn us down when he was fired.

Thus we end up with Butch Jones

Yeah he owns some blame here

Hamilton didn’t have to panic to hire Dooley. He could’ve hired other people. Hart didn’t have to hire butch. We also had a good team last year with our best QB since Peyton. That has nothing to with Kiffin. When does the domino effect stop? Does Fulmer get some blame too slipping in recruiting?

We have diehard, life-long fans checking out and not being interested to watch a game against our most fierce rival because we know that there is no chance that we can possibly win. The longer that Butch stays is more disrespectful in my opinion. I get that the crazies on Twitter go too far, but if Butch continues to stay for a difference of a few hundred thousand dollars when has and will be paid close to $20 million dollars is a slap in the face.

Right. Sunk cost fallacy.

Meanwhile, the players lose confidence and the distraction could cause the team to lose games that could be won with changes made by an interim. We should beat UK, but the uncertainty and negativity around CBJ could precipitate a loss.

But who knows? He could want out and they could come to an agreement.

We should have beat SCar. But they didn’t happen. So you think attendance is a non-issue in relation to revenue? I could agree when talking season ticket sales only. Do you think licensed merchandise sales go up or down during a season dependent upon results?

I'd say that's on Mike Hamilton

You know more than I do but I have to imagine they don't want 100+ former football players asking why Butch is still the coach.

We're not going to beat Kentucky or Southern Miss with him anyway.

IDT anybody knows much. UT's keeping it contained. They can't formally approach or work a deal with a sitting coach so they're just letting it play out. UK looks totally winnable. It would be insane to lose that game.

Former players are already pitching a fit. So are alums and donors so it'll just be more of the same. Everybody wants positive change... even the bakers at Food City.

Agree 100%

James Franklin is a Top 5 coach in CFB. Phenomenal Xs and Os wise.

He brought in a good OC last year and their offense has improved. But they were baaaaad before the new guy came in.

The thing Franklin does well, IMO, is emphasize his playmakers and get them involved.

No game on our schedule looks winnable with Butch as the HC. He would have lost to UMASS if their starting QB didn't get injured.

Also, threw away two great quarterbacks in Tajh boyd and Bryce Petty.

Casual football fans expect Tennessee to get crushed by Bama every year. They just don’t even think of Tennessee as being remotely in Bama’s league. That’s what gets me.

USC recently went with Clay Helton, Florida with McElwain, LSU with orgeron, and Texas with Tom Herman. Of all the names here, Herman was the hottest name coming into his current position. If Frost wins out and takes his conference, which looks very possible, he will have done a more impressive job at UCF than Herman did at Houston. We could do a whole lot worse than Frost.
