This has become a must win.

For the momentum, yes. For the season, no. This isn't one of those games where we're like "We have to win to go to a bowl". I'll be disappointed if we lose, but I'll also understand that the season isn't over.

We shouldn't need this win to make a bowl, so I'm not concerned about that. It's obvious they are putting a lot into this game.

If they don't win, I think they lose a lot of confidence in themselves.

They won't quit; this team doesn't do that, but the team's morale will take a big hit.

Agreed.

I keep worrying about this nightmare scenario where all of UF's talent and depth just shows up at once and they handle us right out of the gate.

3 and outs, can't get the running game going, receivers are covered, Worley ends up getting sacked over and over, etc.

Meanwhile, Driskel turns it on and starts shredding us through the air.

I've seen it happen way too many damn times.

I'll definitely be disappointed if we lose, but I won't meltdown, call for the heads of coaches, and stick a fork in the season.

I won't go that far. That said, doubts will begin developing. This is a bad team with a coach whose seat is preheating.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but what if by some miracle UF beats us and went on to win the east? Would that change your opinion of UF, and maybe make the loss look not as bad?

Again, I'm not saying this will happen. I'm just putting up a hypothetical.

Like so many of my fellow vol brethren (and ladies), I have the loser's mentality when it comes to big games, especially the Florida's, Georgia's and Alabama's. Last week I felt if we didn't let Gurly get out of hand (which he didn't til the last two drives) and protected the ball (which we didn't) we had a real shot (which we did). I do admit to walking away from the radio (didn't get to watch) on the two occasions we got down in the fourth and it looked like it was over. Normally, the day before this game (UF) I am hopeful but achingly nervous and give in to the "here we go again" attitude by game time.
Today, I am proud to say that I have overcome this "disease" and feel as confident as ever that we will win this game. I am back to the mentality, at least for tomorrow, that I carried back in the 90's and early 00's that I expect to win tomorrow and am looking forward to a nice long celebratory weekend. Here's to ending one streak and beginning another one.

GBO!

If Worley gets knocked out we're in trouble. If he goes the distance we're good. I just feel like they are gona be head hunting on Worley.

Can you imagine going over to the FF if we lose?

Prediction: Tennessee 31, Florida 14.

The Picks: This week, Picks turning it up to 11 | Gatorsports.com

FLORIDA AT TENNESSEE: If your glass is half-empty, you think Tennessee's passing game is going to kill a Florida secondary that has been awful this year. If it's half-full, you think that Will Muschamp has fixed things in that secondary and that Florida's pass rush will exploit the weak Tennessee offensive line. To that I say, what pass rush? Tennessee, 34-24.
