That is one way to look o OK at the offensive play calling... Sandbagging, because more was not actually needed. That's the glass hall full of Orange juice, but it's plausible.

One thing though, the OL is not struggling by design.

Remember before the season, when some cats were on here saying that this years OL would be better than last year? Good times...

They said could be. One letter makes a difference.

As delusional as I was last year about Oregon, I feel much better going into this Oklahoma game than maybe most on here. I want to see how our defense performs this week, because If they can hold Oklahoma to around 35%-40% 3rd down conversion rate we will have a shot. Plus I really feel that our offense, especially our run game, is going to get better week to week.

That being said, I don't think we lose by more than two touchdowns this week. I really think this game will be competitive for at least 3 quarters, and our defense will show just how much they have really improved. Even though we are young, I'm not as concerned about the young players be overwhelmed because we will have a good many older players who have played on the road in environments like this last year.

However, this game will be great for the freshman to develop. Couple that with a nicely timed bye week and I think we will be even better by UGA.

Huge factor. This may be where the trip to Eugene pays dividends.

I think it hasn't been taken into perspective what was going on in the last two games. We played opponents that were of lower quality that really thought they could win. Playing the game with no fear is totally different then anticipating a loss and hoping to keep it respectful. Arky st played with no fear which is a great equalizer. Again to ppl over looking them they have won their conference 3 yrs in a row so they were no push over. Boise beat plenty of ppl as a mid-major because they never had fear. If we show up without fear in hostile territory it could get interesting

I can see your point, but defense has been our strength, and I'll call it that way till proven otherwise. If anything, we may not score as much as I predict

I agree with this. Between blitzes and a much stronger front four from OK, I think we'll need a defensive score to get to 10.

Does OU have a good defense? If anything, I see this game as a shoot out. I could see us losing like 35 - 24.

While this might be true, we also have a lot of players who have never played on the road at all. I really do not know what to expect next Saturday night. I am just hoping that our boys give their all for Tennessee, and I will be satisfied no matter what.

Our running game has been very vanilla for the last two weeks. With the exception of a few sweeps, we have pretty much ran everything right up the middle. I expect (hope) to see that change this week. I personally think the vanilla run offense has been by design. I hope I'm right.

Passing game......I'm not worried. You don't have to throw a deep ball to win. Personally, I feel Worley is capable of hitting the deep pass though.

I think we'll be in the game til at least midway through the third quarter. If we can get it to the 4th you never know. The pressure will be on them.

Call me a Debbie downer but I'm not sold on this defense quite yet.

Maybe in November, but a better offense would have shredded us yesterday.

Don't know if it has been mentioned but Butch has coached against Stoops while at Cinci in 2010. Oklahoma won 31 to 29. Pretty damn good showing for Cincinnati team.

Spoke with a friend who works in Norman. His coworker is a dad to a GA at Oklahoma. I jokingly asked him if they were gonna go easy on us and he said the GA was in work last week and said, "Three games the coaches talk most about all off season were Texas, Baylor, and Tennessee." He said they are confident they win but they say if our young talent shows out that all bets are off.

I think it's cool how many schools across the country realize Butch is turning us around.

They are only talking about 3 teams because they don't play anyone else! Sooners have 7 losing teams from last year on their schedule.

Speed and talent upgrade is evident. Although I think it's improved, there will be some bumps and bruises along the way.

You may have a point, but it's hard to judge yesterday as it was easy to have a little letdown. I'm interested to see how they do this week, and if we are as improved as we think.
