Recruiting Forum Weight Loss Advice Thread

I dropped 70 lbs and have kept it off for over two years now. It’s calories in vs calories out. Once you get to where you want to be, you can have cheat days. Just eat clean during the week. It’s not rocket science.
Some people have **** metabolisms and have to workout on top of dieting. I had a cheat day last week basically took me a full week to get back to my weight the day before.

What’s your exercise regimen right now?
Almost non existent. I've got to get back in the gym. My wife had hip replacement surgery and that has occupied a lot of my time. Also, I've had jury duty that goes through next week and I own my own businesses so I've had to take care of business after hours. I was going to work out at lunch today but something came up. It's just been crazy lately.

That's my plan. I was at 272. My original goal was to get to 225 but I made it to 232 and it has stalled. My new goal is to get to 215. If I can do that, I'll continue to exercise and eat very light during the week and then cut loose a little on the weekend. I've been limiting myself to 30-40 carbs a day.

I understand. I also work out 7 days a week. Metabolism is only so much of an excuse. Most people are fat because they are lazy. As a former fat man, I can attest to that

Keep

Gotta up the carbs

Good advice. A brief reset where you carb up, with smart choices of course, that will cause an increase in your leptin levels. With an increase in leptin levels, your body isn't as prone to storing your calories as fat. This is why I find carb cycling and cyclical ketogenic dieting works best for me. Staying strict Keto for too long, I end up hitting a wall.

You mean I can't go to Wasbis and get the double rice?

161 lbs lol

I've spent the past 48 hours carbing up and sodium loading for a race of about 9 miles. I put on all this weight in 2 days, and all of it is basically water weight. I'm feeling great though, and I could have put on several more pounds.

Now it's time to shed all the water weight. Back to strict keto and fasting. I'm going to throw a couple of 24 hour fasts into the mix, and my weight will be back to normal in a few days.

I'm up. Don't know why but I'm up. 237. I'm pissed. Haven't cheated at all. I'm gonna have to watch my total calorie intake.

205.6 holding steady gonna run my ass off this week though now that the heat broke.
