I was about to post that it's crazy that we've fallen to 6th place on Rivals, even after picking up 5-star Richmond. But now they have us listed as 5th again (with Auburn right behind us, they were listed ahead of us a few minutes ago).

Saw on Scout that Iowa was 49th...heard some comments by Hawkeye fans in Jax that their recruiting wasn't looking too hot, and that confirms it. 21 signed....13 3 stars, the other 8 are 2 star or less. Ugh.

They had a pretty good RB out of Florida committed (Karan Higdon). He flipped to Michigan.

More "bonus points" for highly rated players, and their 4-star players are ranked higher than ours (on the average). If they gave bonus points for Jucos, we'd be ranked higher (esp. with Kamara).

Still, it makes me think their model is somewhat flawed, since we have more 5-star players, more 4-star players, and more signees overall than Clemson (AND more average stars per player), but their class STILL ranks higher than us!

Go Vols!!! :rock:

No he doesnt. Hes not one of the top 20, so he doesnt even count.

The system is based off of points. They higher ranked, the more points they are worth. a 6.0 4* gets more points than a 5.9 4*. and a 5.9 4* gets more than a 5.8 4*. You also get points for the higher ranked in the top 250 they are. Its not based on star averages.

Just glad every crucial commit stuck. It's been so long since we've ended a NSD with a resounding win. Don't care that we're #5 or 4 or 10. We finally enter a season not bringing spoons to gunfights. We should be able to adjust to almost any situation for the foreseeable future.Good times ahead.

This is perfect class for this programs needs! Except maybe RB! Wish another RB would have stayed😃 (or we had 1 more spot).
Keep in mind perennial NC contenders get major benefit of doubt on rankings and it's all a judgement call. So to be right there with them given our record says it all. Likely we have the best in the land! Also lineman heavy classes usually don't rank well either!
