like saying getting kids like him will ruin are recruiting class. sounds like you ripped him right there.

unless he tears it up his senior year which is possible, he will drive down our rankings. it is a fact, do you follow recruiting.

he's not ranked, we are in serious trouble. i think this recruiting year will be alot worse than last years, maybe in the 40's or 50's. :bad:

this is before the recruiting services even ranked all the kids that are getting recruited.

all i'm saying when your offering a kid that is not considered a big time prospect a offer this early it spells trouble. now if it was a 5 star player i could see it, but a guy that is not being recruited to hard i think there maybe more to it.

you always offer instate kids early

i'm sorry i don't buy that. if he was in the same class as warren or turner the last couple years i could see it. like i said he isn't listed on anybodys radar.

whats wrong with that statement that we could be ranked in the 40's or 50's, if we continue to get 1 and 2 star players it could happen. i was just blowing off steam though, i think upper 20's or lower 30's would be more on. it all depends how our season goes.

gawd your the same guy last year ripping fulmer for not recruiting instate. shesh just quit posting.

Hey smoke, guess what. We offered alot of these highly ranked QBs and they all turned us down. Coleman is a good QB that Cut personally wanted. He is also listed as a top 25 qb by a few preseason listings.

you have to be kidding right. two new hot coaches killing us in recruiting for the second year in a row. if we landed nothing but 4 star players the rest of the way we couldn't catch them. weis already has been to the BCS in his first year something we haven't done since 99. meyer will have to have a good year to carry the mojo, but i'm picking them to win the sec. ty by the way never recruited like weis does and is not in the same category of coach as weis is. when we are going to the music city bowl or no bowl at all our recruiting is going to tank. the only way this can change is if we look pretty good on offense and score some points , we can change some kids minds. even Cut says they haven't found a way to put the ball in the endzone so i'm not optomistic. we are going to have to look like we belong, with a young line it is going to be hard. not impossible but hard. odds are against us.

First you praise Weis and knock Ty. Ty had a better record than Weis did his 1st season. Ty did that with a worse team than Weis was left with. Where'd that get him? Let it play out a while and then judge greatness.

Then the kid you say is going to hurt our recruiting class rankings (do they give a trophy for that) also had offers from Ok St, Va Tech and Colorado. They thought enough of him to offer. Could it be he's not ranked because no one paid the services to come see him?

Florida has had top 10 recruiting classes on an annual basis for the past 15 years. Notre Dame, regardless of a few bad years, will always be able to string together a few great seasons based on its mystique alone. Weiss has done a great job in his short time there, Meyer has been ok considering the talent he inherited.

What I don't understand is your logic that Florida's and Notre Dame's recruiting successes will make our recruiting "tank." What does one thing have to do with the other?

Fulmer didn't let Turner and Warren get out of state. Warren is living the dream of playing for his childhood favorite and Turner has never liked UT. He went to the team that was hot, which happened to be USC. I guarantee he would go to ND this year. I'd rather have kids that have a star or two less and have good character and bleed orange than egomaniacs that only want attention.

If Fulmer lets Chris Donald get out of state, he would deserve bashing.

now i agree with that. i haven't seen him ranked though and i'm not saying he's not going to be. i was saying there were alot of other better prospects out there. where did those other more highly rated Qb's go, places like ND, USC, Florida, Georgia, etc. i agree 100%

i agree with all you have said here to. warren though being in our back yard at a position we need, you can't let him get out of state.

The reason they love the orange is because the orange won. If UT continues to win 5 or 6 games with local kids who bleed orange, less kids will bleed orange. See the cycle?

What are you going to do if the kid has always been a Florida St. fan, and he's hell-bent on becoming a Seminole. It's no fun to let him leave the state, but we can't make him go to Tennessee. All you can ask is that our coaches do their best to recruit the kid, and I think we did that with Warren. Actually, you can also ask that the home team wins more than 5 games and beat Vanderbilt if it wants to keep the state's best player, but we didn't quite get that done.
