Regional Hosting Sites, NCAA Selection Thoughts and Projections

Updated with Baseball America projections. I'll put up D1 later today when they release. I put the most recent projections up top now. Honestly, it feels like our projections with Baseball America are always tough. Georgia Southern is a very good team. Still, I'd much rather have them than TTU, lol. I like the potential Super matchups though.

I don’t want anything to do with Texas Tech or Stanford. They are absolutely on fire. Give me UCONN or Gonzaga at #16, and then NC State or Georgia Southern as our 2 seed.

With how TTU is playing, I would be SHOCKED if they were the last #2 seed. We should get the absolute worst 2-seed if the committee does their job right (they won't), and TTU should be on the cusp of hosting.

Looks like TTU plays Oklahoma this weekend. They should sweep OU. Stanford should sweep SoCal this weekend.

We’re going to have to face decent teams in the post season. It just is what it is. As far as 3-seeds go we could do far worse than Clemson. They might not even make the tournament. They’re on the cusp as a “Last 4 In” team.

I’d take Clemson every single day. They started hot and have fallen flat on their face. 1-4 in last 5 games, 4-7 in last 11 games; barely on the bubble to get into regionals.

It seems likely that the 2 seed in our regional will come from the group of 10 teams below. I'm just assuming that the teams in Texas/Oklahoma and west won't be put in our regional. Some of these teams will probably(definitely) end up hosting a regional. It's also possible we could get 2 of these teams in our regional as the 2 and 3 seeds. Any of these stand out as teams we definitely don't want to see? Seems to me we'd rather avoid Maryland, UVA, and Florida State.

It'd be ironic to have Wake Forest in our regional. I wonder if John Currie would dare to show up. Full circle moment.
