I'll never understand how some of the comedies at CBS are so popular. The Odd Couple is so bad.
CBS has announced that The Good Wife Spin-off starring Christine Baranski has officially been given the go ahead and will premiere on CBS All Access in the next TV season.
The new series will focus on Baranski's character Diane Lockhart and Cush Jumbo's Lucca Quinn, who joined the mothership show in its seventh season.
Showtime is finalizing a deal with Fox 21 TV Studios to lock its flagship drama series Homeland for 3 more seasons, starting with the already picked up upcoming sixth season, whose premiere has been pushed to January 2017. Showtime Networks president and CEO David Nevins made the announcement during a press call Wednesday morning. The additional pickup would be for Seasons 7 and 8 of the terrorism drama. Star Claire Danes and showrunner Alex Gansa are both set for Seasons 6, 7 and 8,
FX Renews Archer For Three More Seasons
The worlds most self centered and perhaps stupidest ex-spy and now P.I. is coming back for not just an eighth season but a ninth and tenth as well, FX announced today about Archer. Season 8 of the animated series from EPs Adam Reed and Matt Thompson will debut with an eight-episode run in 2017, the cabler added. Seasons 9 and 10 will also run for eight-episodes. No word if it will be the end of Archer at the end of the tenth season.
Syfy space action dramas Killjoys and Dark Matter will return for a third season. The network announced the renewals today just ahead of the series second season finales.
Killjoys Season 2 finale airs tomorrow, Friday, September 2 at 9/8c. Dark Matter will air a double episode on Friday, September 9 at 10/9c and 11/10c, and its season two finale on Friday, September 16 at 10/9c.
