Rep. Giffords of Arizona shot

i see. so it is your belief that law enforcement officers should voice every potential motive that they are going to look into on national television?

particularly before they have any evidence of said motives - makes perfect sense.

You're right. It is pure comedy.

Are you suggesting a law enforcement officer should not look at politics as motive for an assassination attempt on a US Congresswoman that left 6 people dead?

Are you really saying that? Really?
When the conclusion is this idiotic, he should dismiss his personal agenda and approach it professionally. Now that it's becomingmore obvious that he was pushing a rope, he should have simply shut his hole, as GAVol has suggested more than once.

Sorry Dave but... you are blaming the guy who shot his attacker. It isn't the TP or conservatives that want to change things and use gov't to force others to behave according to their ideals. It isn't the "rule of law" right that is trampling the USC. The left can't just run roughshod over our rights and liberties and then get equal consideration when we protest or resist.

The Progressives DO hold ideals that ARE detrimental to our future and contrary to our Constitution. I don't doubt their sincerity... or the FACT that their "sincerity" about the idea that social and economic engineering is better than individual freedom drives them to amorally obscure their aims at times.

The President? Did he sit and listen to some of the most vitriolic hate speech IN CHURCH for 20 years, or not? Has the SEIU been investigated by this administration for its attacks on private citizens? Did the police actually behave stupidly or was that Obama's America hating friend?

Our "rhetoric" now is NOTHING worse than most of our history as a nation. The fact that we can have these types of debates and only have the rare lunatic commit a violent act over it... says we can handle it. As tragic as this event was, suppressing free speech due to it would be even worse.

every Presidential assassin, and would-be assassin, in US history has been a left-wing zealot.

I'm confused about Gen. Franco. That was a joke? Next you'll tell me that Weekend Update on SNL's references to him were also jokes. Mind = blown.

Again, I have never mentioned political persuasion in this discussion, but it is obvious why so many have jumped to conclusions, and been fallen over themselves to "create distance."

Can't speak for others but I wanted to be out of your target range :hi:

How silly. You act as if your act is now somehow veiled.

Oh, and which of us has take a side in this kid's political bent? Oops.

I've missed a Big Lewbowski reference too. It's been year's since I've seen SNL, and if it's an old skit, I missed it. I'll look on youtube to catch up. :hi:

Only if they have an ulterior motive

The sheriff is an elected official. He's gonna play the politics.

Wasnt high brow enough. Not your issue. We clearly need more education.

Retarded. Left is relative, always.

WHAT????????

This thread truly has descended into comedy, and it has nothing to do with me. GAVol thinks it's important to rule out politics as a motive in a political assassination, and now Left is Relative?

I thought you were an absolute values guy? :hi:

Maybe we should get the sliding scale out on Whacked-Out Nut Jobs (WONJs) too. Since they are on the increase, maybe we need to bone up on our Relativistic Mechanics.

You are a buffoon. American Left is radically different than your idols in Euro crapholes.

GAVol is right in that the Sheriff should have shut his hole. Now, he's right in that you and the sheriff are dead wrong. This wasn't about political vitriol in the least. This was about a kid with problems.

Now you're flat out making things up. At no point have I ever posted that any motive should be "ruled out". For the 80th time . . . all I said is that it's unconscionable for someone involved in the investigation to assign political motives and comment on them before the assailant has even spoken to the police.

How is a sheriff who has received multiple violent threats, who has seen these violent threats executed in the most horrific way wrong?

We see again who is talking out of the wrong orifice, and, unfortunately, a "kid with problems" raises a lot more questions than a ruthless, stone cold sane killer.

"The crew smoked marijuana every day, and when they weren't going to concerts or watching movies they talked about the meaning of life and dabbled in conspiracy theories."

I have found the culprit

We must put pot smokers on Watch lists.

They are not just hungry anymore

What is the point of even answering your question at this point?

But if you don't rush to judgement, your political point may lose its luster.

let's say he's 100% right (which is absurd). you must admit it was premature to say this publically no?
