My short list begins and ends with Bob Stoops and Butch Davis. Davis would be a very unpopular choice in Gainesville, but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

The Meyer staying in Gainesville twist has the makings of Wittingham getting at least an interview.

I've also heard Shanahan and Mike Mularkey mentioned.

It's going to be a very interesting January.

Still a little upset UT never had a chance to beat Meyer, but I'm certainly okay with him being gone. Hopefully their next hire isn't so good.

Butch hasnt impressed me at all at UNC...It could be a good change of scenery for Stoops..but he's only got Texas right now to worry about..in the SEC he's got several

IMO... I look for Dan Mullen to be the #1 target. He did a pretty good job at MSU this year. Will run same offense and that is a plus considering the personel UF has. Showed he could be a head coach.

UT almost beat Saban this year with a team nowhere near the same level.

Good ole Monte had two weeks to prepare and UT still couldn't beat us. Ingram's only fumble in his career certainly gave you guys a chance. Being dominated for 55 mins or so. You had your chance and you blew it.

Ingram only had a chance to fumble because a penalty which would never have happened if Lincoln had made one of the previous field goals. You guys looked average that whole game, and if you are stupid enough to think you dominated it when you were easily outgained, there is no further need to argue with you.

Very true. You lost, we won fair and square. UT gave us a good scare. Go recruit a kicker and come back in a few years when UT is relevant again.

Fair and square you did, but you should have been scared as hell. If we had a kicker worth a da*n and makes at least one of those field goals you lose.

It's obvious who the next coach at Florida will be...

Dave Clawson.....

Look at his history in the Ivy League and Richmond, now at Bowling Green...
he coached Brian Westbrook
and he has a stop in the SEC as a OC for Tennessee last year..

How could Florida pass up that resume
