Who would you vote for to run for President from the Republican Party?

Ron Paul has gotten his message out as good as best as he can.

People just don't want to embrace it. Or I should say, not enough people. He has at least been able to improve on his numbers from 4 years ago.

It doesn't matter if he runs 3rd party or not at this point, most Paul supporters will not vote for Romney, Gingrich or Obama. It may be an opportunity for Johnson to collect some important votes to set up a 2016 run as a libertarian.

ron paul is not the answer....honestly the best person isn't even running this time around...Jeb Bush

Johnson's said that this is it. He won't even consider a run in 2016.

Yes...Problem??? It's well known that Jeb is the best Bush although W was a great President....

These are the type of people we are up against, folks.

It's a lost cause.

Yea the ones that actually have the balls to stand up for America....not like those types who let the politicians like Ron Paul pull the wool over your eyes...

The wool has been pulled over Americans' eyes for over a century, and Ron Paul is not the one whose done it.

Good luck with the whole Jeb Bush for president thing, though.

It will be a cold day in hell before Ron Paul becomes President...He is living off a bunch of foolish young people right now and there are not enough of them out there to give him a win....Book It....The only 2 people that have a chance to beat Obama out of the 4 that are left are Newt and Santorum....

No ****. Everyone realizes Paul isn't going to win. It's a sad commentary on this country that a small government, strict constitutionalist (and true conservative) has no chance of becoming president.

well if I am wrong how about instead of just saying K give me reasons why someone else has a chance to...kthx

I'll let the November results do all the talking for me.

Rather you like it or not, if the GOP follows this same path, you are guaranteed 4 more years of Obama.

Newt has way too much baggage. You can't win a general election on debates alone. His past is just as bad if not worse than Obama's.

Santorum is too old-fashioned and wishy washy. His social policy is too easily exposed.

I honestly think Paul has an even bigger grass roots campaign than Obama ever did. He would grab the majority of third party voters, appeal to the younger/pissed off liberals, and lock down enough of the right to run a formidable campaign.

But he still won't win with GOP voters. It's a wrap. The majority of the GOP wants to expand our presence in the Middle East and loves to spend money on domestic nonsense.

Newt is winning the hearts and minds of the GOP with his witty liberal-bashing. That won't work in a general election where you have to win over moderates.

So you honestly think that even moderates would rather have Obama with the economy the way it is?

Granted, he has baggage, but I'm not seeing all the pessimism just because you guys hate him. A lot of people will vote against Obama, not pro-Newt... not saying it will be enough, but I don't think it's as gloomy as some of you make it out to be.

And his past his as bad as Obama's? What? EDIT: That's in reference to another poster.
