Calling him the "Food Stamp President" is simply red meat for those voters who believe that every single thing Obama does is designed to take money from white people and give it to black people.
Sadly, I have heard comments indicating people actually believe that 100 % and they don't care for your pesky facts.
Funny that this discussion is going on here, when I just read this article... Letter calls on Catholic GOP candidates to stop racial stereotypes | USCatholic.org

check out who is behind the letter, Staff & Board | Faith in Public Life, I'm sure they're nice people, but they're not exactly right-of-center and, even if they were atheists, would have the same opinion of Gingrich and Santorum
Who cares? It's still blanketing a group of people.
Not that it matters, but chances are you aren't referring to toothless arabs, hispanics, or asians.
no people don't want their earned dollars to go to the poor/lazy without their consent. You're the one saying that the wealthy are white and the poor/lazy are black. Who's the real racist?
the fact is you take a very minute part of the population and blow it up into some big issue. It's not and never has been. You can play all 52 race cards and it still won't matter.
Of the people who I have heard make derogatory comments about "lazy black people" (or words to that effect) on food stamps, 100% of them were white.
100 %.
Hadn't really though of it, but since we are talking about toothless South Carolinians who go for Newt's rhetoric on this hook, line, and sinker, in the end you are probably correct.
