I've said it once today and I'll say it again. Romney is screwing up attacking Gingrich.

Don't know what he's saying because it's not being aired here (edit: streaming online now) but he can't make his basis for ragging on Newt as a faux-conservative. In a state like Florida, harping on his ties with Fannie and Freddie should suffice.

Could not agree more...

I still say Romney has to convince people he deserves their vote. He's been running for 5 years and still hasn't found his voice.

Romney just said "markets have to have regulations to work".

I don't think any of us are going to mistake that with him wanting to be a big time regulator. Ultimately, I don't see him changing any of the practices that created the mess to begin with.

So at this point it is safe to say Romney has corrected his '11 tax file enough, but he won't be releasing older tax returns.

IMO, Romney with a great answer on banking regulations and the housing crisis.

And Newt just condemned Castro to hell. Of course, Castro isn't going to meet God, because in Newt's world, God is too busy campaigning.

Newt just picked up the Cuban vote. Paul sticking to his guns with Cubans in the crowd takes some big brass ones.

I understand that Romney is releasing his 2010 return and an estimate on his 2011 return.

While I agree with the warhawks that Iran with a nuclear weapon is bad for non-proliferation, I'm still not convinced that they are actively pursuing it. Posturing yes, pursuing it actively, no. The sad thing, imo, is that the only people who will know if they are, are Iran, Israel intelligence, and US intelligence. And damn if the US (led by a Republican White House) lost my trust with Iraq.

I think the WH carefully cherry picked the intelligence leading up to Iraq.
