The whole analysis. There's an obvious bias and he assigns war hawk attributes to vague statements in an attempt to put Rubio in a Neocon box because he doesn't toe the line of isolationism that is the writer's view.

He is a loose-cannon. Were I running for POTUS, I would want a running-mate that was not only on the same page as me, but was also someone who I did not have to worry about every time they opened their mouth. Had Palin not been a "rogue" but stuck strictly to McCain talking points, McCain might have won the 2008 Election (he certainly would have had a better shot); instead, she opened her mouth and the McCain campaign had to consistently respond to mitigate the effects of what she said. Obama is able to get by with Uncle Joe Biden, but only because Obama attracts enough focus through his rhetorical ability (whether or not you agree with his policies, it is hard not to admit that Obama is a charismatic speaker that attracts a great deal of attention).

Rubio would be a safe choice for Romney because Rubio is not very polarizing; I also think Rubio would adhere to Romney's strategy. West is polarizing and I do not see him adhering to anyone else's strategy.

I agree no doubt. But the "perception" is that republicans of old ie McCain Bush etc are war hawks and any candidate must distance themselves from this perception.

The writer is biased, but I only care (and cited) the direct quote from Rubio himself. I didn't even read the article.

Rubio is an isolationist as he is in support of sanctions as a diplomatic tactic. Non-interventionism is not isolationism. Trade with everybody and your enemies become your friends.

CR is pro-choice and endorses affirmative action. If he picked her, he'd prove what the base has always thought, which is that Romney is McCain v.2.0.
