Today's games of interest, if I missed any please let me know...
7pm St. John's at Notre Dame
Impact: St. John's is off the bubble, but a win tonight could get them back in the discussion, a loss likely finishes them off.
7pm Arkansas at Missouri
Impact: Arkansas much like St. John's is off the bubble, but with a win over UK last game, beating Missouri on the road would get them in the mix, a loss should finish them.
7pm USM at Marshall
Impact: USM is a bubble team, a loss to a Marshall team would REALLY hurt their resume.
9pm Alabama at Ole Miss
Impact: Either outcome is good as it hurts a bubble teams resume, but Ole miss has the harder remaining game so I'll go with rooting for Ole Miss in this one.
Maybe we should quit worrying about what other teams do and just take care of our own business. Beat AU and Mizzou and we should be in. Lose either one and we better win the KY invitational in Nashville to seal a bid.
I'm sorry, didn't realize we weren't allowed to watch other bubble games, I'll be sure to stop now on your command :hi:
I love watching it as much as you do. I just think we need to stop worrying about who beats whom and just take care of business. Hopefully the team doesnt come out flat against AU since it is their Senior night which gives them added incentive. I just hope the Vols that played FL an KY come out the next 2 games. Golden is the key.
It's important. It looked like after UGA game we would need to win 4 in a row, because of other bubble teams 3 likely does it and if they keep dropping 2 may do it. So due to other bubble teams our margin for error and chances of getting in are better, so I'd say the bubble watching is completely warranted.
I've said it multiple times, we've still gotta go play and win the last 2, or none of this matters, but that doesn't mean these games aren't important.
Here's this week's bubble team schedule, for your convenience. Teams in CAPS are the bubble teams we are concerned with.
If someone with more Karma than I wanted to repost this as it's own sticky, that might be viewed as helpful...but not necessary. Be sure to cheer for the team NOT in CAPS (of course, excepting where two face off against one another, where I have underlined the one I think we need to cheer for).
Tuesday, March 5:
ALABAMA @ OLE MISS, 9pm
SO MISS @ Marshall, 7pm
ARKANSAS @ Missouri, 7pm...

Impact: Boise is in according to most, but losing their final 2 would likely have them on the outside looking in going into their conference tourney.

GAMES OF INTEREST 3/6/13
team in bold is who you should be rooting FOR.
9pm TENNESSEE @ Auburn
7pm Oklahoma St. @ Iowa State
7pm North Carolina @ Maryland
7pm Georgetown @ Villanova
7pm Navy @ Bucknell
7pm Temple @ Fordham
7pm George Washinhton @ La Salle
9pm West Virginia @ Oklahoma
11pm Stanford @ Cal
Only one I would change is the Bucknell game.
Tourney game. Pull for bucknell. Don't want an rpi 102 Lehigh sneaking in with tourney ch..
Yea didn't realize it was start of conference tourney, ill leave it off. If Bucknell loses they won't get an at large, if they make it further it may become a root for Bucknell.
