Haven't heard much about Malcolm X Day. The link in your post says one city in America recognizes it. I've never actually seen a "Malcolm X Elementary School" or a "Malcolm X Blvd." Searching Malcolm X on google map gave me three hits. All streets, no schools.

First, it seems black male lives don't matter. Not really a shocker in the BLM community because black lives don't seem to matter to them that much. They just want everyone else to think they do.

Second, defund police? Yes. Please do that. Defund the police so they don't patrol or respond to your areas of the city anymore. I am 100% sure that once there is no more police presence crime will plummet and your communities will thrive.

Third, dismantle the nuclear family? Yes. That is ABSOLUTELY what the black community needs right now! Black gender queer homosexual transracial homonormative thinking will flourish and black mothers with will be able to raise their kids in a tribal like fatherless setting. Note no mention of black fathers, or fathers at all.

I have two ancestors who were in a Confederate unit totally wiped out in "the hornets nest" at Shiloh. We could never find them in the death counts.

Later we found out they switched sides right before Shiloh and were in a Union regiment until the end. My brother found a letter from another person in the regiment who had been conscripted by the Confederates and then switched to the Union as well. His lofty reasons: better pay, better clothes, better weapons, more and better food, tobacco rations, and boots.

History is a little more complicated than a statue or a bumper sticker can represent.
