With that being said, I have zero confidence going into the NCAA Tournament that we will make it out of the first weekend. Santi and JJJ aren’t doing enough from a scoring perspective which puts it all on ZZ, Knecht, and to an extent Aidoo.

The way things played out, it would have taken one of those special 30+ point games from DK for us to have had a shot to win this game and it just wasn’t his day. That’s been the narrative surrounding this team and today adds a lot of credibility to that narrative. Playing against a team that will probably be about a 10 seed, we couldn’t even be competitive without DK being spectacular.

Maybe it’s just the immediate bad vibes that come with a loss like this, but I would be floored if this bunch reaches the Sweet Sixteen. Hope I’m wrong, but we just seem really vulnerable the way these last two games have gone.

we just went through a gauntlet of four ranked teams and only lost one. Been on a winning streak.

Just an excuse. We had a 6 day break between tip-offs. Barnes making them practice hard is just to keep them in game shape. The team exerting themselves too much yesterday isn’t what lost us the game.

I truly believe that's the source of "regular season" Barnes.

The intensity of defense throughout the year on the court and in practices leaves our legs tired in March.

You would think given his problem in March he would adjust the workload on his players during February and into March. From those practice reports, I guess not. Insanity.

But…it’s not.

Barnes has been to 3 conference tournament championship games, won 1, and won at least 1 game in the SECT in a vast majority of his 9 years. You guys love to spin it however it falls.

I know and that helped us with seeding so much… oh wait it didn’t. I’m not gonna keep going back n forth , most of y’all are football fans first and don’t care about basketball really. So you’re totally fine with Rick Barnes having a good regular season and embarrassing us in the post season. If fans cared as much about basketball here as they did football he would be under more fire for post season play. But in basketball it’s the same old argument of , we’ll have we ever been good, or who could do better. That’s just the facts. It don’t make me a bad fan for speaking the truth about Barnes.

Forget you. I go to football, basketball and baseball games. I travel too. I am not making excuses for today or Barnes. I like him but in tournament is not getting it done. The problem is what your wrote... Have not won in the tournament in 3 years. I you meant NCAA you should have stated it. You didn't. I called you on it. You are also not giving credit for what they have achieved. You are as bad as the other side.

What about when it matters on the national stage?? You can’t excuse the 1 seed being down 20 points to the 9 seed. How did Barnes follow up the momentum of those conference runs btw??

I am frustrated too but most the SEC hasn't made it past the Sweet 16 in the past 15 years. The only ones that I can think of at the moment that have gone further are Auburn (1x), South Carolina (1x), Florida (although it has been awhile), Kentucky (been awhile for them as well), and Arkansas.

The posts don't make sense either. We won two NCAA games last year and won the SEC Tournament in 2022. So we have won games in both tournaments the last 3 years. I mean, does he mean win the entire NCAA Tournament (i.e. National Championship)?
