What I was implying is that Vescovi was a special case.. yea he scored 10’ppg that year but he also was out of control n had some bad turnovers playing the point guard position.. he’s more of a spot up shooter 2 guard.
I was saying I haven’t heard of a player from overseas that’s ready to come in make a big impact.. and to be honest with ourselves. If we are going to compete again for the sec championship we are going to need someone to make a bigger impact then he did. Have you heard of anyone ??

He will keep us looking pretty good in the regular season.
He did win us the sec tourney championship!! That’ll probably be his biggest achievement here at Tn . He’s lucky he won that though Bc honestly it would be a long offseason if not.
But to my point.
The dude is cursed in march.
He failed to recruit after winning that sec championship. I mean it their’s a big name out their then I would be ecstatic. Haven’t heard any though.
Losing transfers..
I don’t hear of any transfers coming in that can make a difference to this point.
With all that said do you honestly think that Rick barnes is the best Tennessee can do as a head coach?

Sure I can defend Barnes. He's done well here, just won the SEC Tourney. Beat your Cats twice. Needs to do better in March (which isn't the news bulletin you're trying to make it out to be.)

For someone who has a screen name that you have, you sure are awfully pessimistic in your outlook. Relax some, back away from the ledge and see what happens.
Let this coaching staff finish putting this team together and then you can compare, analyze, complain, or whatever else you want to do at that time. You worry way too much to not follow the guidance of what you put as your screen name.
Maybe get out more, step away from social media and enjoy life.

Rick Barnes is 10-7 against his Wildcats. No wonder he is so mad.

Just a Tennessee fan that thinks his Tennessee basketball team can do better then they have..
Yea we did win the sec championship. One of the best days as a vols fan.
But let’s be honest . He loses that game . And even the most die hard Barnes fan would have a tough argument for keeping the coach.
And after he won I asked myself what did barnes do with that success??Loose in the second round?
Get us the 50th ranked recruiting class.. no news of help from the transfer portal..
I just think Tennessee Basketball needs new life. Huepels trending upward, TV is out breaking new records every game.. and their good ol barnes..
at least we know what to expect out of the coach.

I would like to suggest that I had it on good authority that Aidoo was AHEAD of BHH until he got sick.
That suggests to me that BHH was needing reassurance.
We weren't going to get KC ... and then ....we did!
I recommend some of you take a chill pill and sit this one out for a while ... let's not roll around in the mud .... till we get to June ... then I will be glad to bring out the water hose and make the ground nice and soft and mussy for everyone whose glass is completely empty.

I’m not worried like omg what are we gonna do.. I just thought it was worth the discussion..you shouldn’t judge someone’s faith by a sports forum Anyway. I am a son of god i know who I am in him and that will never change. If you go back and look at the beginning of this thread, I was just doing this for friendly conversation but the posts by my fellow vol fans .. yea and I’m the one that needs to step away.

He’s 25-26 in the tournament. He’s made the final four once.
Oh and btw this year.. we’re not looking to good . And we pay this guy 5 mil a year.. look what Kentucky auburn and Arkansas is doing ..

Troll or not, you’re acting like one.

Maybe next time, read through the Basketball Recruiting thread, ask a couple of questions to the people in there that live it, and then post in that thread about your concerns. Trust me, there are people there that will agree with you.

When you make an unnecessary thread talking about how much you think we’ll suck next year, you’re gonna draw a lot of fire. Don’t act surprised about it.

Well that was definitely interesting .. try and start a thread about possibly looking for another coach to discuss with fellow vol fans that’s heads aren’t in the sand and see what’s about happen this year and every postseason.. and it’s ruined by people who didn’t share the same view as me, and for some reason that’s wrong??
Anyway y’all have a good one.

Dude ... Start a thread with the that TITLE ... We Should Be Looking for ANOTHER coach for our Men's Basketball Team ... and let's see how that goes for you.
We get that you do not like Rick Barnes and his style ... please remember ... this was our First SEC Men's BB championship since 1979.
That's EPIC! And yet you want to get rid of him.
Rick is in the TOP 25 of the ALLTIME winningest college basketball coaches.
