I am explicitly talking about the government’s involvement wrt “free speech”. I am not talking about getting fired for dropping n-bombs in the breakroom.
Twitter can make whatever rules they want - for their platform.
But your boy’s statement was pretty clear. And it is now you now trying to tell me what he really meant….
And for the record - I don’t believe him (or your interpretation of what he “really” meant). When he says hate speech is not free speech - I believe that’s exactly what he means.
For some? SureYou're talking about what Lebron said, and he didn't say "government." The context is Twitter. You don't have to accept my interpretation. I'm not sure it's right. Just accept that it's a big, baseless leap to assume he was talking about the constitutional protection of hate speech.
For some? Sure
For him? Nah
I don’t have to assume that lebron James is dumb.Doesn't make any sense.
Again, the context is twitter. You don't get to assume he's saying a dumb thing because it's Lebron. Lebron can get himself into trouble and right wingers don't like him, so it makes everything believable to you guys, but he didn't say hate speech isn't protected by the constitution. He didn't say Morey is wrong about Hong Kong vs. China. In reference to Griner, in no way did he say that there are better places than America. Etc.
Say it real loud for the Mises Caucus, Chris.

Super scary stuff! That's how we lose our democracy!?!? Yikes! We lose it by letting people tweet a theory about a known corrupt politician who is a victim of an attack with peculiar details involved where the immediate reaction from the mainstream media was "Trump Bigots inspired this kind of attack! That's all! No peculiar details otherwise. Don't ask any questions or you're a right wing radical!". If the mainstream media would like to keep normal people from adopting crazy conspiracy theories, they need to be asking tough questions and getting to the bottom of the stories that have peculiar details rather than letting internet sleuths run wild with it.
