RIP Twitter

He's going to continue most of the moderation, or it will quickly devolve into an unusable cesspool.
“Most”…that’s bunk. Safeguards against pedos and stalkers isn’t moderation…it’s legal necessity. Dude that preaches tolerance for man/boy sexual relations might lose his group’s account tho.

LOL. It amazes me that conservatives don't see the hypocrisy in these "Democrats are against free speech" claims.

I already posted this once, but since it went ignored, I will post it again.

More Republican leaders try to ban books on race, LGBTQ issues

^^^^ Isn't this an attack on free speech, as well? ^^^^

Not wanting children to be exposed to questionable things in a public schools is different than wanting something to be permanently banned/censored.

For what it's worth, Tesla has quite a record of being sued by black employees for racial discrimination. It's definitely more than most companies.

Probably because they are used to suckling at the teet and Elon does not look like he offers jobs just so you can sit around and be editor for intracompany newsletters on wokeness and intraracial microagressive safe spaces.

Elon sleeps on the friggen factory floor and probably expects rediculous dedication and production from all of his staff. If you cant cut it, you cry "racism", "sexism", etc.

I mean, if you want to have some nice family life with plenty of PTO, dont work there, get a gubbmint job. If you want to build something world changing at break neck speed - Elon's companies are the place to be.

I really doubt he will make a whole heck of a lot of changes.

He’s going to have to make some to get his dust back. It’s going to be interesting to see what they will be. I would guess he’s going to try to raise the quality of the user base (verified accounts, less bots) for advertising and may go to a paid tier.

Twitter is a fortune waiting to be harvested, but I don’t think it would be possible to do it as a public company because there is going to be a huge change in financials that a company managing quarter to quarter just cannot make.

I’m not really a rabid book banner myself, but I’m also open to hearing why they want them banned.

I don’t want my child to be free to see whatever he wants on Twitter, so he’s banned there for now.

I doubt you’ll understand the distinction, though.

No. Key words…IN SCHOOLS. If there are books extolling conservative talking points on a curriculum, you signing off?
Have you seen the list of books being banned?

Not all of these books are extolling "liberal talking points".

"Out of Darkness" by Ashley Hope Perez was banned in 16 Texas school districts just because it depicted an interracial romance between a black teenage boy and a Mexican-American girl in the 1930's... and it had the audacity to detail some prejudice that they encountered - from both blacks and whites.

Evidently, this is considered "white shaming" by conservatives now.

I don't care anything about him at all. This is commentary on how loyalty is a one way street with Donald Trump. He will not hesitate to submarine even his most ardent defenders.
Of course it all goes back to Trump. I figured your underlying TDS need not be mentioned.

Didn't say that. Just pointing out that your comment "all pigs are equal" is completely false.

I don't even know what you mean by that. I was making reference to Animal Farm, where they say that but it is obviously false. But it is supposed to work like that, so it's kinda true. I don't know if you're saying false to that or false to my reference that indicates it's actually false.

Yeah meanwhile progressive idiots are banning To Kill a Mockingbird from schools AND public libraries because it may upset black people

All pigs are not equal, some are far superior than most.
