RIP Twitter

Yeah meanwhile progressive idiots are banning To Kill a Mockingbird from schools AND public libraries because it may upset black people
... and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, among many others. I'm well-aware of how ridiculous liberals are when it comes to finding offense in literature. My point is that conservatives seem to think that hyper-sensitive book banning is only done by liberals .... it's not.

Reich is absolutely right in the first tweet. Being banned from Twitter does not infringe upon anyone's 1st Amendment rights, because Twitter is a private company; not the government.

The 2nd tweet is, admittedly, sour grapes whining.
Sure...except for the cold, hard fact that Twitter is NOT a private company. It is a publicly-traded company.

I don't think Musk will off, or ban, many from the start. He needs the blood. He is going to use it to promote his products, and crypto investments. He mostly wants twitters AI tho, which he now has.

It's hilarious how many people were praising them for sensoring, and now they're mad their views are going to get censored 🤣
Isn't there a flip side to this coin?

I mean, wouldn't it also be hilarious if the people who once cried "FREE SPEECH!" were now reveling in seeing some liberals banned, just for expressing their viewpoints?

The best part is neither is going to be censored. They're just angry they can no longer censor others.

It's especially hilarious after all the "mAkE yOuR oWn pLaTfOrM" whining.

The problem with Musk is the opposite. He is going to allow it all. It's turned the twitter platform into another commercial operation. How can you trust it now? When EVERYONE is allowed to post what ever stupid chit they want.

It's a problem of propaganda having too much influence. When you make money for likes, how do I trust what you are telling me?

IDK exactly how Twitter works but don't you pick and choose who you follow?

Right. It started as a private company under Jack Dorsey in 2006 ... but that's not the point. Being banned from Twitter is not an infringement on anyone's 1st Amendment rights.
