Ok and so what ? There are nuts like Joy Reid and Talcum x that believe white people are purposefully poisoning black children on purpose using kool aid. They still shouldn’t be banned from saying itmore like this................
At 3:45 p.m., Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller suggested to Meadows and Trump aide Dan Scavino that Trump should tweet: "Call me crazy, but ideas for two tweets from POTUS: 1) Bad apples, likely ANTIFA or other crazed leftists, infiltrated today s peaceful protest over the fraudulent vote count.
Trump's allies in Congress appeared to get the message. At 3:52 p.m., Greene told Meadows: "Mark we don't think these attackers are our people. We think they are Antifa. Dressed like Trump supporters."
Five minutes later, Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican, texted Meadows: "Cap Police told me last night they'd been warned that today there'd be a lot of Antifa dressed in red Trump shirts & hats & would likely get violent."
That was all a known lie, but there were nuts on here repeating it as truth. Probably some of the nuttiest still believe it to be true.

Stacey abrams saying the GA election was stolen from the voters by domestic terrorists and I won’t concede because of this theft. We need to take the fight back to them. False information. And inciting a riot?more like this................

It was first introduced by Portman - a republican senator.
No but the point is that YOUR stated position was that false information or “inciting riots” was absolutely bannable material but then stated Biden saying something false isn’t and completely ignored the Stacey Abrams and BLM posts which also did exactly what you suggested was wrong. At least be consistent if you are going to be wrongShould a business be forced to allow them to say it on their privately owned platform?
Let me approach it this way :back to the original point - why is this concerning? (your post that started this discussion)
I have read every damn one ... and I'm about to post several f***ing more.
Musk has said he wants to begin sending humans to Mars by 2024.
"I think most likely the form of government of Mars would be a direct democracy, not representative," he said during the Code conference in 2016. "So it would be people voting directly on issues. And I think that's probably better because the potential for democracy is substantially diminished."
And he isn't merely interested in people surviving on Mars. He wants a thriving city to exist.
But Musk also said anyone who goes on the first journey to Mars should be "prepared to die."
"The first journey to Mars is going to be really very dangerous," he said in 2016. "The risk of fatality will be high. There's just no way around it."
If Mars doesn't pique your interest, you could still take a ride in a SpaceX rocket to travel around the world.
The Tesla CEO also said humans were "already a cyborg."
Musk said our ability to have a digital presence through email and social media gives us "superpowers" like a cyborg.
"You have more power than the president of the United States had 20 years ago," he said in 2016. "You can answer any question, you can video conference with anyone, anywhere. You can send messages to millions of people instantly. Just do incredible things."
In fact, Musk has said AI could be our "biggest existential threat."
Though he's also funded a startup, Neuralink, that wants to implant chips into people's brains to create a "brain-computer" interface.
I don't have any problem with someone not allowing them to say those things on their privately owned platforms.Stacey abrams saying the GA election was stolen from the voters by domestic terrorists and I won’t concede because of this theft. We need to take the fight back to them. False information. And inciting a riot?
Or the BLM stating Michael brown was killed because of hands up don’t shoot and racism by police which didn’t happen. We need to take it to the streets. False information and inciting riots
There were some known nuts repeating this junk too
Should a business be forced to allow them to say it on their privately owned platform?
Let me approach it this way :
Social media platforms are fertile ground for malicious lies to flourish in the form of politically-based conspiracy theories, which accuse innocent people, such as James Alefantis (owner of the Comet Ping Pong Pizzeria in DC), of running a business which serves as a front for a Satan worshipping cabal and child sex trafficking ring. This nearly led to a tragedy when a nut named Edgarr Madison Welch shot up his restaurant in 2016. Thankfully, no one was injured.
It seems like Musk, would believe just about anything, with very little proof. This is why I would be concerned about him owning Twitter. "PizzaGate" should not be protected by the 1st Amendment. It should never be considered free speech to slander someone... but how does Musk feel about this? I would be interested to know.
I am surprised Elon is such a polarizing person. I had no idea. And after reading this thread, I am still not sure why he is so polarizing.
Typical Luther. Realizes his hypocrisy and quickly tries to shift the discussion lolsee now you've changed the discussion from "society" regulating expression to a private company. I think virtually all here think Twitter had the right ban/disallow certain expression
however Obama and you appear to be advocating a role for government in deciding what should be allowed.
So you believe that any possible conspiracy theory from pizza gate to aliens to trump pee tape to lies about police brutality to Jessie smollett to Stacey Abrams saying the GA election was rigged to anything should never be discussed on social media and all who discuss these items should be bannedLet me approach it this way :

I see it as a potential problem. A "PizzaGate" style conspiracy theory - more than likely started by far-right conservatives - will definitely be brought to Twitter at some point in the next 2 years ... will it be allowed to accuse innocent people of being child molesters or will it become banned subject matter? It's not as far fetched a belief as "we are sims".this is a major stretch
