RIP Twitter

You think Musk is so wealthy he won't adhere to the best interests of Twitter's PnL?

I think he's got a long view so short term losses (even over several years) likely won't phase him if he still believes in the longer term vision. As a private company he has the luxury of taking the long view.

Tesla, SpaceX, the Boring Co. and Starlink are all long play businesses that sucked capital like crazy.

So I think his view of best interests of Twitter's PnL is a much longer time horizon than annual changes in revenue and/or profit

Not Musk, but Amazon was constantly blasted for a "bad" P&L, but look what they are now.

Yeah, I'm not saying Musk will be financially successful with Twitter but I do think several years of losses won't bother him if he sees the upside on the horizon. There's a reason nobody wanted to buy it even though it's been shopped for about 8 years - it's not a great financial play in it's current form. I would guess he sees potential that wasn't being tapped

Provided that nobody is in there purely spamming the board, or threatening to kill or maim someone, I actually don't want the board moderated.

I sure as hell wouldn't want the board moderated to remove "controversial" material, like someone coming in after the Purdue game and saying "I think forward progress actually was stopped and the officials made the right call."
Those damn Indianans!!!!

Good analysis. I believe you're right.

I'll go the Occam route: He's just a narcissist.

Why does homophobia mean a dislike but every other phobia is a fear..like heterophobia is an irrational fear....just another example of changing definitions to meet a woke agenda

It can just mean an aversion to something. The definition isn't restricted to "fear". Photophobia isn't the fear of light, it's the aversion to light.

Instead of making it into an erroneous semantic battle, just take the word as the poster intends it. He's obviously talking about people who express that they don't like gays or make fun of gays. That's the point.

I remember the days when you were somewhat moderate. What happened?
