RIP Twitter

I'm just here because I predicted that this was a bad bet/investment/vanity move by Musk. The large knuckledragger contingent of VN maintained it was a stroke of genius and blasted me. So I'm gonna enjoy watching this deal implode.

the deal isn't even done - far too early to make any assessment

I'm enjoying your non-rational saltiness and desperate reach to show it's a bad deal before it even happens.

Agreed ! I want the ones we had as a kid that if you turned it up to fast out of the bottle that stuff was going to come out of your nose lol
That first sip out of a glass bottle back then felt like it was burning your senses. Kids don't have EVERYTHING better nowadays. A few things were better back then.

Oh, I'm quite certain this will fail, just like Musk's other business ideas have.

It's hilarious watching all the numbnuts going after a guy who literally makes rechargeable cars that drive and park themselves and rockets that deliver satellites to space so we can argue on VN. Oh, and then land themselves on drone boats.

I wish someone would make a lower sugar version. The diet stuff tastes like crap but I don't need the regular stuff to be as sweet as it is.

One of the reasons McDonalds cokes (or Diet cokes) taste different is they keep the carbonated water chilled which keeps it's fizziness more intense.

I find the zero sugar versions taste better than the diet versions. Might be just me though.

That's not how it went down at all.

You're here to nay say and it barely has anything to do with it being a good or bad business deal.

Bloomberg still had him at $253 billion yesterday after the sale , Bezos is at $163 without buying anything lol

You can still get that real sugar glass bottle at some places in the Mexican food section
Whenever we go to Peru, all the soda there is made with real sugar. Inca Kola is the "main" soda down there and with real sugar it is so much better than the version of it they make here in the US.

Those Dr peppers back then tho , you knew when you heard them fall down and slam against the door , you probably should give everything a minute before you popped that cap .

I agree with your assessment of Elon Musk's technological skill and advancements. He is in many ways Nikola Tesla/Thomas Edison/Wernher von Braun and Steve Jobs rolled into one, but just because I like to nitpick posts ... Let's be clear about how this latest venture of his differs from the others you mentioned. Twitter, and social media platforms in general, were not his "business idea" or innovation. Elon Musk has simply purchased an already successful company, which was created through the hard work, business acumen and innovative, engineering skills of other people.

It's not yet clear if managing someone else's concept will fall within Musk's realm of expertise or not. That does involve a different skill set. Maybe Elon Musk can make an already successful business model even better? ... but Twitter will never be the product of his innovation.

Oh, it's number one. If he does nothing else, his election would have been worth it.

Someone on here (I wish I remembered who) made that claim about Trump and his appointments.
I said at the time I loved it and would be sure to use it in the future.

He's got a long way to go to get back up to having done nothing. Or whoever it is making his decsions....eerrr....mistakes.

If Trump's election did nothing else but keep Hils out of office, it was worth it.

I understand that some feel that way.

Biden was doomed to fail miserably. There was nothing Trump accomplished that Biden could do better.

I wasn't planning on voting for TRump a 3rd time if he jumped in, but the thought of watching you if Trump did get elected again is almost too much to pass up.

So, Twitter employees are “worried about free speech” and their “mental health is suffering” as a result of Musk’s takeover. Their parents must be so proud of raising non functioning adults equipped with zero life skills.

‘A**hole’: Twitter Employees Melt Down, Quit Over Musk Takeover, New Internal Messages Reveal: Report | The Daily Wire

I know this is on a different level, but I've been with a few different organizations that went through massive changes, and some people just aren't built for change at all. They literally spiral.
