Robert Hubbs SG TN '13

Once again...if you think Lewis is saying UT has a 5% or less chance at Nichols and jw3 then you're flat out wrong.

Well, Lewis doesn't give a percentage if I remember correctly, so they can't agree on that. But, as usual, that's not what I said.

What they do seem to agree on is that it's quite possible that UT isn't the leader for any of these kids at this point.

Which I've previously said isn't my issue with Leroy, it's him giving TN no credit whatsoever on any of these guys when every other person in the country does.

It's fine though, if/when UT pulls one(or more) of them, it'll make it that much sweeter.

?????

He's giving them [UT] up to a 19.9% chance with JW3 and up to a 9.9% chance with Nichols.

Again, it just appears that you're upset because he lists teams in front of UT with a better shot. Rob Lewis pretty much did the same thing.

What the hell are you talking about?

Jw3: "Likely destinations and chances he will land there: Georgetown, 60%, Memphis 30%, all others combine for 10%"

So for Jw3 he says all others combine for 10%, others being plural. You yourself have said you could see him at Mizzou, so clearly Tennessee isn't all of that 10%, much more like 5%.

Nichols: "Likely destinations and chances he will land there: Vanderbilt, 60%, Memphis 20%, all others 5% each"

So for Nichols he said all others schools 5%, Tennessee falling into the other schools category according to him.

Where the heck did you get your numbers from?

My recollection is that he said all other 20% combined for Nichols and all others combined 10% for JW3.

If he says 5% each for Nichols then you're right.

So, he did say 5% each for Nichols.

So 5% chance for Nichols, possible 9.9% chance for JW3?

Not out of the range of possibility.

And I can assure you Lewis wasn't reiterating those feelings, which is all I was saying.

If you feel those numbers are accurate, that's fine, it's your opinion. Personally I think they're completely ridiculous and not even close, and most agree with that, not just Tennessee fans.

Leroy only gives percentages for 2 "named" schools for JW3 and Nichols, and nothing for Hubbs.

That means Mizzou, Mich St., UT, etc. were listed in the "field" for JW3.

UT, Auburn, Duke, Virginia were listed in the "field" for Nichols.

Lewis also didn't say that UT is the leader for Nichols, he said that UT may not be the leader for any of these three.

You just seem to be upset because Watson didn't say that UT was the leader for these guys. I don't understand why there isn't the same level of indignation for Lewis, when they're saying basically the same thing.

For me, not naming UT the leader wasn't a big deal...but I think we at least deserve a mention instead of the "other" category. Even the Kentucky writer (whatever his name is) mentioned UT. Just seems obvious without even a mention.

BUT not a big deal. We'll get our guys and everyone else can..........you know. :)

TIFWIW, but Hubbs is very quiet in his recruitment, he's not the type that posts updates on twitter, and I very rarely(if ever) see him retweet fans saying come here or there...

Well someone tweeted this to him, and he retweeted it. Typically I wouldn't think twice about it, but like I said, Robert isn't like most of those guys on twitter and he doesn't retweet everyone naming a school.

As I said, TIFWIW, i just found it interesting...

“@agantte: I will be so sad if @datkiddRobert goes and plays for anyone thats not Tennessee.. #VFL”

So it's time for someone to do investigating as to who this girl is????

As I said in above post, Hubbs rarely if every retweets or tweets about anything to do with his recruitment...

Well he retweeted her then and now this...

“@agantte: @datkiddRobert is coming to Knoxville this weekend!! #exciting”

“@datkiddRobert: @agantte you excited??”

"@agantte: @datkiddRobert heck yaaa! I better see you and get a picture with you :)”

“@datkiddRobert: @agantte you will”

"@agantte: @datkiddRobert goooood :)”

And then later, he retweets...

“@agantte: #10ThingsIWant @datkiddRobert to play for Tennessee”

Go ahead call me a stalker, but...if it was some other recruit ok, I wouldn't think twice, however...as I said Hubbs is very closed about this stuff, don't know if she's from dyer county, a family friend or what, but thought I'd share.

Looking into it some more Ojeleye is Duke's second committed wing....interested in your take Bleeding.

Semi Ojeleye decides to play for Duke Blue Devils - ESPN

When I saw that committ I thought first thing of hubbs and Nichols...however

I honestly don't know that duke is much of a player for either anymore...

Haven't heard anything related to Nichols lately an the vandy momentum has been fueled by proximity to home...which all but rules duke out

In hubbs case, he has only scheduled OV to tennessee, could easily have scheduled one to duke, but having not makes me think he is not too high.

I may be going out on a limb a bit here...but I feel most confident in hubbs, then Jw3 and then Nichols. My confidence in us landing Nichols has faded by the day...not saying we are out or not in contention, I just think its gonna really be a battle...having last visit could play huge for us.

I think as long as UK doesn't offer hubbs e is ours wrapped up in a gift basket, easy as that.

I Think Your On To Something Here.!

Orangelo,

How long is Hubbs willing to hold out for that UK offer? Is it one of those things that hinges on the decision of the Harrison twins and could/should move quickly following their decision? If they should, for whatever reason decide to wait until spring, will Robert wait it out too?

Not Orangelo but............

If the Harrison's sign with Maryland then everything hinges on what James Young decides. If he picks UK over Michigan State then we have a two and are looking for a pg. In which case UT should be in good shape with Hubbs.

He for sure wants to commit before this high school season. I think he will commit one way or the other early. If the Harrison's commit early and the UK door opens I see him seriously considering the offer. If nothing else changes by the early deadline I feel he is a Vol regardless of what the Harrison's do. I could be wrong. Just the impression that I get.

Not orangelo but...

I see it being simple...

The Harrison's have said they will announce October 20th iirc...

Once they pledge expect an announcement from Hubbs...

He could committ before then, maybe the Harrison's inform him they're going to UK, but I think once the Harrison's pledge hubbs will be soon after...to either UK or UT

Hubbs will be signing with Tennessee in November. The Harrison's deal going to KY has been over for awhile now. Close source within Ky family so to speak.

If Hubbs becomes aware of this, instant Vol IMO. Wouldn't it be great to beat the **** out of the gators and get a verbal from Hubbs on the same day! If that is the case we need our Gameday friends to produce a sign that reads like this,

" Hey Billy D, Your Next."

Signed,

Robert Hubbs III

"Duke is still going after him. They are in the process of trying to set up a home visit with him now for the near future and to get him on campus for an official.
We'll see how the visit goes with Tennessee this weekend, but hearing a lot of positives about the Vols and Hubbs right now. Don't want to go overboard just yet but have picked up a lot of good vibes in the last week or so."

Nothing has been mentioned of Nichols lately (but the Vandy garbage) so I wonder how much a Hubbs to UT would still help? It ALMOST felt like a package deal a month or two ago but I know it's not. I'm guessing it can only improve our chances.

Correct, it would only help.

Galilee, I presume you know of him, has said he predicts 2-0 or 0-2....so TIFWIW.
