Anyone,

What are your personal opinions on Marve? Do you think that he could step in and start or has more upside than JC or NS....and what about Newton...I seem to like the Newton (needs to clean up a little) and NS I think will win the starting job at some point..just based on his vision last year...Thoughts?

If Marve comes he will be the starter. He has the physical ability to be very good. He is far and away more talented than Nick.

Like it or not, Marve will be the most talented QB since Manning to hit campus.

I really hope that is the case for more than one reason, but I want Schad to eat some crow. Reporters get props for breaking stories, but they should be equally cut down for completely missing - especially when they stick their neck out like this. What a douche.

i agree..physically talented....yes
mentally yet to be determined

JC is physically gifted as well...but his decision making brings down his overall talent level

I'll go ahead and throw down my bet that if Marve does come to UT, he will not have two seasons that match Erik Ainge's last two seasons....now, go prove me wrong Robert....

All I'm comparing is talent. Imagine if we never had Schaffer, and he was transferring from Ol' Miss to here. And Marve was interested, too.

Schaeffer was extremely talented, I think if they were both coming out at the same time, he'd be more talented than Marve. Basically the exact same player as Marve, but with slightly better measurables.

guess the only way he can prove to be better than schaeffer is if he has more going on upstairs, so far he hasn't shown it.

And I like that Marve will get to work with the offense in 2009 to get more experienced before competing for the 2010 QB job

Not at all. They have about the same speed (Brent is a little faster) but Marve's arm is tons better.

Marve, for a qb, is the one with better measureables.
